The next Ingleside Community meeting will be held in the Ingleside Police Station Community room on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 7p.m.  There will be light refreshments available to those who come to the meeting.  All are welcome to attend.

Arrests:


12:49pm     Mission & Ottawa                             Warrant Arrest
Ingleside Officers Gomez and Watts were on routine patrol when they spotted a man who had a long criminal history. The officers stopped and ran the suspect through the computer system and discovered he had several outstanding warrants for resisting arrest and other crimes. A search of his clothing revealed several prescription opiate medications in his pockets. He was transported to Ingleside Station and booked for the warrants and other crimes. A man walking home from a party was attacked by two suspects. The victim told Ingleside Officers Cassinelli and McMilton that he spotted a car in the middle of the street and casually yelled out, “Do you have to park your car in the middle of the street”?  At that point a passenger exited the car and struck the victim in the head with a bottle. The victim fell to the ground and fought with the suspect for a short time before the suspect and the driver drove off. The victim was taken to Kaiser Hospital and treated for numerous lacerations and bruises. Report number: 170058551


12:45am     Havelock & Arago Streets                 Theft
A woman walked into Ingleside Station and told a strange tale to Officer Thompson. She said she was approached by a woman suspect while walking her dog at Havelock and Arago Streets. The stranger told the woman “she looked like her mother”, and asked if she could try on the victim’s necklace and ring. The victim agreed and the woman tried on the jewelry. Then, a man yelled from a parked car to the suspect, “Our kids are hungry. We’ve got to go”. The suspect then took off with the woman’s jewelry. Report number: 170059565
