The next Ingleside Community meeting will be held at the Boys & Girls Club-Visitacion Valley Clubhouse located at 251 Leland Avenue on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 7 p.m. There will be light refreshments available to those who come to the meeting.  All are welcome to attend.

Arrests:


1:41pm       200 Blk. Santa Rosa                        Robbery
A woman victim lost several teeth in a violent robbery. The victim, and several witnesses, told Ingleside Officers Moreno, Paras, Champlin, Colclough, and Elliston that she was walking westbound on Santa Rosa, towards San Jose, wearing her headphones, when the suspect walked up, punched her in the mouth with his fist wrapped in a belt, knocking her to the ground. The suspect grabbed her purse and fled westbound on Santa Rosa. Several witnesses heard the victim’s screams, saw the assault, and the suspect’s attack. Other witnesses called police saying the suspect was hiding in the bushes on a pathway parallel to Highway #280. Ingleside Officers Elliston and Moreno found the suspect and placed him in custody. They also recovered some of the stolen property and money. He was taken to Ingleside Station and booked for robbery. His victim was transported by ambulance to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Report number: 161023737


3:00pm       3300 Blk. Mission                             Robbery
A Safeway customer dragging a suitcase caught the attention of store management and store security. They watched as the woman placed several cans of Bud Light in the suitcase and left the store without paying. The security officer told the woman to stop, but instead she attacked him. A wrestling match ensued and the suspect bit the security officer on the arm and continued to resist. A short time later, Ingleside Officers Ocreto, Debellis, and Canchola arrived and placed the woman in custody. She was taken to Ingleside Station for booking while medics treated the security guard for his injuries. Report number: 161023981[HAN1]

6:50pm       Crescent & Moultrie                    Attempted Robbery
A minor traffic collision ended up with one of the drivers being threatened by a firearm. The victim told Ingleside Officers Mendiola, Vo, Labson, Langley, Ahern, Garza, and Trump, that, while driving westbound on Crescent he collided with a champagne colored Audi A4. The vehicles stopped and the driver of the Audi got out and claimed the accident was the other drivers fault. He wouldn’t show any identification or insurance information. When the first driver attempted to take pictures of the other vehicle the occupants attempted to block his view. The Audi driver then said “just give me some money” and I’ll go away. When the first driver refused, the Audi driver asked for his watch. The Audi driver then reached into his pocket and simulated a firearm, at which time the first driver just backed away. The Audi driver, and his passengers, then sped away westbound on Crescent toward Mission. Report number: 161024581



9:52pm       3300 Blk. Mission                         Robbery
A Safeway security officer watched as a man walk into the store and straight to the liquor aisle. The suspect, grabbed and 18 pack of beer, then exited the store without paying. The security guard stopped him and asked him to pay for his purchases. Instead the robber put his hand into his shirt and asked, “Yes or No”, implying he had a weapon. The security official told Ingleside Officers Fogarty and Ferronato that he didn’t think he had a weapon and started struggling with the suspect to keep him from leaving. The struggle continued for a short time until the struggle was joined by two colleagues, a man and a woman, who fought with the guard and finally freed the robber. The trio ran to a waiting SUV which sped away northbound on Mission Street. The security guard declined medical attention. Report number: 161024917
