A short time later a woman entered the suspect’s car and they drove away. The victim called “911” and officers soon found the suspect vehicle a short distance away on Jules Street. The officers began first aid treatment and called for assistance. The victim refused medical treatment and declined to talk to the officers about who was responsible for his injury. Meanwhile, officers searching the area discovered various parts of a firearm, along with bullets, on the street two blocks away. The officers also heard from a woman, driving with her two young daughters, who said she witnessed the attack on the victim. She said she noticed three men arguing in front of a building on the 1900 block of Sunnydale. One of the three men struck the victim who then fell to the ground.
