The next Ingleside Community
meeting will be held in the Ingleside
Police Station Community room on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 7p.m. There will be light refreshments available to
those who come to the meeting. All are

The San Francisco Police Commission is seeking community
input on the recruitment process for the next San Francisco Chief of Police.
Members of the public are welcome to provide public comment at the Commission’s
regularly scheduled meetings, or submit written materials to the Commission, or
take the community input survey available at
http://www.ralphandersen.com/sfpc-survey/.
In addition, the Commission has two (2) scheduled community events remaining
where Commissioners will meet with members of the public and listen to input
regarding the qualities and characteristics sought in the next Chief of
Police. Two or three Commissioners will attend each event, which are
scheduled on the following dates at the following locations:
▪ Wednesday, August 24, 2016, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Scottish Rite Masonic
Center, 2850 19th Avenue, San Francisco
▪ Monday, August 29, 2016, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at St. Mary’s Cathedral, 1111
Gough Street, San Francisco

Arrests
3:15pm Persia/Naples Robbery
A woman Muni passenger while boarding the #29 bus noticed
three men boarding behind her. When the passenger exited the bus at Mission and
Persia the three men exited at the same time and were whispering to each other.
When the woman started to board a #14R bus the three men were right behind her.
One of the suspects grabbed the woman’s purse and all three men ran away.
Ingleside Officers Hornstein and Christ were dispatched to investigate and
found the victim at Persia and London Street. The officers also interviewed a
man who witnessed the theft and followed the suspects for a short distance.
During the interview dispatch reported the three suspects were inside a store
on Persia Avenue. Ingleside Officers Mora, Trail, Naser, and Vong were
dispatched to the store and apprehended the suspects. The store owner told the
officers that when the suspect’s spotted the officers, all three blurted out,
“Oh (expletive), the cops!”. All were taken to Ingleside Station for booking
and the woman victim recovered her purse with all contents except a small
amount of cash. Report number: 160656325
Serious Incidents:
6:00am 27th/Guerrero Attempted Robbery
Ingleside Officers Thompson and Curry traveled to St. Luke’s
Hospital to interview two robbery victims. The pair told the officers that a
short time before they were parking their car near their home on the 500 block
of San Jose Avenue when three suspects exited a doubled parked car and demanded
their money. When the male victim said “no”, he was punched and kicked several
times and pushed to the ground. He lost his wallet to the robbers. His
girlfriend was pushed to the ground. She was able to call police. Her boyfriend
was transported to the hospital for treatment of his injuries. Report number:

1:30pm Brookdale/Santos Robbery
A man walking down the street was approached by two men who
demanded his property. The suspects took out handguns and placed them against
the victim’s body. The suspects then went through the victim’s pockets stealing
his phone, wallet, passport, house keys, and cash. Before running away the
suspects warned the victim not to call police. Report number: 160657185
