There have been reports of a telephone scam going around recently.  An individual will call requesting personal information from you.  DO NOT PROVIDE ANY PERSONAL OR FINANCIAL INFORMATION TO ANYONE OVER THE PHONE.  Please alert the police by going to your nearest police station or calling the non-emergency dispatch line (553-0123) if you are contacted by any of these individuals.  Thank you.

12:40am                              200 Blk. Paris                                       Robbery
A tourist walking down the street was robbed of his passport and possessions. The victim told Ingleside officers Villalozano and Wong that three men approached him from behind, pressed a metal object against his forehead and instructed him to relinquish all his property. Fearing for his life the victim surrendered his wallet, containing credit cards and driver’s license and a backpack containing his passport. The trio then fled north on Paris Street. A woman “friended” a woman on Facebook she had not known before.  She told Ingleside officers Snadow and Wise that the woman asked her new friend some more information about her life. According to the woman, the new “friend’ became outraged at the request and began sending several threatening messages through the Facebook app. She also left several threatening phone calls. The victim called police when the suspect posted a picture of the front of the victim’s home and also allegedly damaged the victim’s vehicle that was parked in front of the home. The officers took a report and turned over the information to the Ingleside Station Investigative Team. Report number: 160558323
