Arrests:

1:32am       500 Blk Delta                                      D.U.I
Ingleside Officers Neary and George were on routine patrol when they noticed a vehicle driving towards them on the wrong side of the street. Officer Neary quickly placed his patrol vehicle in reverse and backed up while putting on his emergency lights and siren. The approaching vehicle stopped. The officers exited their patrol car and went to the driver’s side of the approaching vehicle and asked the driver for his license, insurance, and registration. While questioning the driver they noticed two open beer cans in the center console and four unopened cans on the passenger seat. The officers asked the driver to exit his vehicle. He complied and they also noticed he had bloodshot eyes, smelled of alcohol, and had difficulty standing. He admitted to drinking alcohol from 5pm the previous day until he was stopped by Officers Neary and George. He was placed under arrest and driven to the County Jail where a blood alcohol test was administered. Report number: 160129526

5:54pm       Geneva/Cayuga                                Robbery
A young man went shopping for one of the most prized possessions among many young men, a new pair of “Air Jordan” shoes. He took BART to get home and when he arrived at Balboa Park Station he noticed a group of other young men ju[HAN1] mping over the turnstiles at the station. The young man exited the station and boarded a #29 Muni bus going eastbound on Geneva. When it stopped at Cayuga he was exiting the bus through the back door when he was pushed by a couple of the young men he saw at the BART station. The two men, and several colleagues, took the young man’s shoes and ran away toward Alemany Street. Ingleside Officers Hackard and Tweedy, along with several other Ingleside officers searched the surrounding neighborhood and found the suspects at Alemany and Niagara Streets. They also recovered the “Air Jordan”. Four juveniles were arrested and charged with robbery with force, aggravated assault, and other felonies and taken to the Juvenile Justice Center for booking.
