A truck moving slowly on Mission Street with one working headlight caught the attention of Ingleside Officers Ocreto and Tweedy. The officers turned on their emergency lights and followed as the driver attempted to park in the parking lot of Evangelist Catholic Church. The driver needed several attempts to park the car. The officers noticed the driver had blood shot eyes and his breath smelled of alcohol. He admitted to drinking several beers during the last five hours. He also said he was an unlicensed driver. He failed the roadside sobriety test and a breath test revealed a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit. A computer check showed he was never licensed to drive. He also had a conviction for felony hit and run along with citations for driving on a suspended license. He was transferred to the County Jail and arrested on a variety of charges.
