2:40pm Arnold/Crescent Armed RobberyWhen Officers Zasly and Oryall responded to an armed robbery call, they arrived to the scene and saw that the victim was a twelve year old boy who was robbed by a male that followed him off a MUNI bus. The boy explained to the officers that as the male followed him off the MUNI, he asked to use his cell phone and when the boy refused, the male pulled out a knife. As the boy yelled for help, a civilian came to help him and the suspect gave the cell phone back. Upon obtaining permission from the victim’s parent, the victim cooperated with the investigation. He helped the officers identify the suspect’s physical appearance and the knife that was used in the altercation. The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Ingleside Station where he was booked for the robbery and child endangerment. Report number: 150835755
Serious Incidents:7:55pm 100 Blk Blythedale Attempted RobberyWhile arriving on scene in response to a robbery call, Officers Watts and Calupad met with the victim who was robbed by a suspect. The victim told the officers that the suspect demanded she give him her belongings and when she refused, he grabbed her cell phone and purse. The victim resisted but the force created by the scuffle caused her to lose her balance and fall. As she screamed for help, a civilian helped her and the suspect ran away. The officers looked around the surrounding area for the suspect and cameras, and nothing was found. The officers provided her with a courtesy ride home.
