Arrests:

10:31am     4900 Blk Mission            Aggravated Assault
A woman shopping for groceries caught the attention of store security when, using her left hand, she swept a whole shelf of items into her shopping cart. The security officers watched as she, and a companion, grabbed several more items before walking past the counters and attempting to leave the store without paying. The loss prevention officers blocked their exit forcing the two thieves to retreat back into the shopping aisles. But the retreat didn’t last long enough, because the two tried again to leave the store with one of the thieves brandishing a stolen knife at store personnel. The security officers notified dispatch and Ingleside Officers Lucia, Macauley, Wells, and Hoge responded placing the woman in custody and charging her with aggravated assault. Her companion was released after returning the items to store personnel. Report number: 150796351
