1:00am San Jose/Mt. Vernon Burglary ToolsDispatch sent Ingleside Officers Lee and Franceschi to investigate a report of a man breaking vehicle windows. When the officers arrived on scene, they were approached by a witness who pointed out a man walking eastbound near Louisburg and Geneva. The witness said he observed the suspect breaking a car window in the neighborhood. The officers approached the suspect, who quickly dropped a baseball hat to the sidewalk. Inside the hat was a broken spark plug, known to be used by burglars to break car windows. The suspect was detained and a records check revealed the suspect had an active arrest warrant out of San Francisco. He was taken to Ingleside Station and booked for possession of burglary tools and the arrest warrant.
