3:25am Coleridge/Virginia Drugs
Officers To and Padilla were on routine patrol when they spotted a man walking in the street looking into one vehicle after another. When the man spotted the officers he quickly got out of the street and started walking on the sidewalk. The officers stopped their patrol car and asked him what he was doing. The subject stated he was on his way to his girlfriend’s home. The officers then asked him if he had any weapons and if he had ever been arrested. The suspect admitted he had two knives in his pants pockets and that he was on probation for “drugs”. The officers exited the patrol car and searched the subject, removing the knives and a glass pipe found in a jacket pocket, which the suspect admitted he used for “smoking crystal”. The suspect was cited for possession of narcotics paraphernalia and released. Case number: 13014709

Officers Campos and Suguitan were dispatched to a business after an employee called police to report a theft. The employee told the officers she observed a suspect take several cell phone covers from the store without paying and then watched him exit the store and go to a nearby restaurant. The officers went to the restaurant with the employee who positively identified the suspect and agreed to sign citizen’s arrest. A search of the suspect revealed all of the stolen items underneath his shirt. The suspect was transported back to Ingleside Station where a computer check showed previous arrests for theft and robbery along with an outstanding warrant for vandalism. He was then transported to county jail and booked on several charges as well as the warrant. Report number: 130147906
3:50pm Unit Blk Phelan Trespassing
San Francisco Community College Police Officer Chang responded to a report of several men gambling on the third floor of the City College Wellness Center. Upon arrival, Officer Chang spotted four men throwing dice on a stairwell platform. Officer Chang recognized one of the men, from a previous arrest for burglary, who was banned from the campus. That gambler, seeing officer Chang, quickly put the dice into his front shirt pocket and started walking away. Officer Chang ordered him to “stop”, but, instead of stopping, the suspect sprinted away with officer Chang in pursuit. The suspect escaped the building but didn’t escape several other campus officers who responded and arrested him near the college amphitheatre. A computer check of the suspect showed he was wanted for an outstanding warrant. He was transported to the city jail. The other three suspects were released with a warning. Report number: 130148891

A few hours later (see report below), other Ingleside officers, while investigating another robbery on San Bruno Avenue, arrested two suspects. Upon hearing that news, Officer Gomez returned to Riordan High and brought the two students to Ingleside Station to see if the suspects in the second robbery were the same men who robbed the students. It was a match and the two suspects were transported to the jail and booked for several counts of robbery. Report Number: 130149770 **********Best Arrest of the Day**********

CRIME ALERT: There has been an increase in auto boostings around Precita Park and the surrounding area. Don’t be a Victim.
Take extra precautions to avoid a criminal window-shopping inside your car. Never give them a reason to break into your car and steal your belongings.
Safety Tips:
*Try to park in a well- lit area and always lock your doors and secure your windows.
*Do not leave possessions on the seat or in plain view.
*Never hide belongings under the seat: This is the first place burglars check.
*Never cover expensive items with an article of clothing or blanket: This presents a hidden clue to thieves that items may be underneath.
*Do not leave any important documents inside your car that contain your personal information.
* Do not leave phone or MP3 chargers plugged in: this leads the burglar to believe there are expensive electronics inside your car.
Remember, if a criminal is unsuccessful and is not benefitting from his criminal activity, the thief will move on, thus making your neighborhood less of a target.
