Arrests:

4:24pm      1200 Blk Plymouth      Drug Arrest
Officers Almaguer, Campos, Burke, Hom and Sgt Alvarez served a search warrant on the 1200 block of Plymouth Avenue. When they arrived, they began surveillance of the property. Within an hour, they observed a pick-up truck drive up with three occupants and proceeded to park in front of a residence. Sgt Alvarez relayed this information and all the officers approached the vehicle and detained the occupants. The officers made contact with two residents inside the premise and detained them advising them of the search warrant. The officers made their way inside the house and searched all the rooms finding large amounts of marijuana pre- packaged in separate plastic bags along with paraphernalia. The officers searched the downstairs area and found two unoccupied rooms that had been set up for an illegal marijuana grow, which consisted of fifty marijuana plants, several lights and vents. Further investigation revealed that the PG&E electrical meter had been bypassed to power the illegal marijuana grow.  Officers also found methamphetamine in various rooms. Both the residents were placed under arrest and transported to Ingleside Station where they were booked on various narcotics charges. The occupants in the pick-up truck had no involvement in the investigation and were released from the scene. The narcotics and equipment were confiscated and booked in as evidence. Report Number 121004501.

10:01pm     4100 Blk Mission          Firearm Arrest
Officer Hom was conducting traffic enforcement at the intersection of Mission and Trumbull Street, by using a radar gun in attempt to catch speeders travelling along the Mission Street corridor. Moments later, he noticed a Grey Subaru traveling at a high rate of speed as it continued Southbound on Mission Street. The vehicle was traveling way above the 25mph posted speed limit. Officer Hom caught up to the vehicle and effected a traffic stop.  He then made contact with the driver and the passenger who was seated behind the driver. While talking to the occupants, Officer Hom smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. When asked, the driver admitted to having marijuana in the rear of the car. Once back-up units arrived, Officer Hom searched the vehicle and in fact found marijuana in the rear of the vehicle. He also found small amounts of marijuana in small jars in the front passenger seat area. Officer Hom continued his search and found a back pack in the rear seat, which belonged to the rear passenger. Officer Hom found a fully loaded firearm with extra magazines. The passenger admitted he had illegally bought the firearm off the streets and had no legal paperwork for it. A computer inquiry on the serial number revealed the gun had been stolen in a burglary. The passenger was placed under arrest and booked for the firearm violation. The driver was cited for the excessive speed and released from the scene. Report Number 121005082.

Serious Incidents:

8:30pm       1100 Blk Naples            Robbery
Officers Naval and Morrow went to investigate a robbery on the 1100 block of Naples Street. Officers Castillo and Kabanuck responded as well and spoke to the victim who only spoke Spanish. The victim stated he was standing and waiting for the MUNI bus near the intersection of Naples and Athens Street. The victim said he was talking on his cell phone and had his suitcase resting on the ground right next to him. He was then approached by an unknown suspect who pointed what appeared to be a firearm at him. The suspect did not say a word, but instead motioned to his lips with one finger letting the victim know to “be quiet”. The victim noticed a second suspect standing behind the bus shelter acting as a look out. Fearing for his life, the victim immediately put his hands up. The suspect with the gun patted the victim down and went through his pockets, however didn’t take his wallet. The suspect instead took the victims cell phone from his hand. The second suspect then grabbed the suitcase and they both took off running. The victim began yelling for help and chased after the suspects. The victim believed he saw the suspects get into an unknown vehicle which was parked on Athens closer to Cordova Street. The victim was not injured but said he would be able to identify both suspects. Report Number 121004937.
