Arrests:

0:22am       Geneva/Paris                 Reckless Driving
Officers Jones and Lozano were on patrol when they located a vehicle parked with its lights on.  They had been searching for the vehicle and its driver a few minutes earlier as the driver was driving reckless, committing several vehicle code violations.  The driver was still aboard the vehicle.  As he exited the vehicle, the officers detained him.  They advised him that they had observed him driving recklessly.  The driver denied the accusations and presented his California Driver’s License as identification.  He was issued a citation for the violations.  Report Number 120329352

3:39pm       Geneva/Mission            Warrant
Officers Hurwitz and Tam were on patrol surveilling an area known for drug trafficking.  They observed a male loitering on the corner who they knew from previous contacts.  The male was approached repeatedly by people and the officers considered his behavior suspicious.  They decided to make contact with him.  A record check revealed he had an outstanding warrant and he was transported to Ingleside station.  The warrant was confirmed and the suspect was booked into custody.  Report Number 120060960

5:01pm       Sunnydale/Santos          Theft
Officer Obot and several other Ingleside officers were on patrol in the area of the Sunnydale Housing Projects when they observed several males running and what appeared to be another male running after them.  The officers believed a crime may have been committed and began following them.  The officers caught up with the suspects and detained them, to no avail.  The victim followed Officer Obot where he had one of the suspects detained.  The suspect handed the officer a cellular phone.  The victim yelled, “That’s my cell phone officer.   That’s the guy that took my cell phone on the bus.”  The detained suspect was transported to Ingleside station.

Officers had another suspect detained, and they transported the victim to their location for positive identification.  The victim said that the suspect detained was also involved.  The second suspect was transported to Ingleside station.  The victim was also transported to Ingleside station where he wrote a statement as evidence.  At the instruction of Sgt. Weggeman, the first suspect was booked for the theft and the second was issued a Certificate of Release.  The victim was provided with follow up information.  Report Number 120331216

8:00am       200 Blk Oxford            Fraud
A victim responded to Ingleside station and told PSA Heckenberg that he received a bill from Verizon Wireless regarding an account that he owed money on.  He contacted Verizon and explained that he had never opened such an account.  They requested he file a police report.  He was provided with follow up information and identity theft information.  Report Number 120327005

8:30am       200 Blk Bella Vista     Burglary
Officer Bernard was sent to investigate a burglary.  The victims were on scene and told him that they locked and secured the home and when they returned found the garage door ajar and several items missing.  The officer also noticed the front gate and front door had been pried open.  He contacted SFPD’s Crime Scene Investigations Unit who said they would be responding to the scene.  He took pictures of the damage and the condition of the home which he booked into evidence at Ingleside station.  He provided the victims with follow up information.  Report Number 120331614

8:30am       200 Blk Bella Vista     Att. Burglary
Officer Bernard was investigating a burglary when another victim approached him and asked for a report as well.  The officer responded to the victim’s home.  She told him that she locked and secured her home and when she returned found pry marks on the entrance door.  It did not appear that entry had been made and no items were missing.  She did, however, want the incident documented.  The officer took pictures of the damage and the home which he booked into evidence at Ingleside station.  He provided the victims with follow up information.  Report Number 120331545

12:45pm     1100 Blk Alemany     Att. Burglary
Officers Park and Chang were sent to an attempted burglary.  The victim told him that he was upstairs in his home when he heard a loud bang.  He looked outside and noticed two males in front of the home trying to open his garage door.  The victim banged on the window and the suspects ran down the street.  The victim said he could recognize one of the suspects.  He said no entry had been made into the home.  The officers noticed the garage door was open but no entry had been made.  There were no surfaces with ascertainable prints and CSI was not notified.  They provided the victim with follow up information.  They searched the area unsuccessfully for the suspects.  Report Number 1203330434

12:50pm     900 Blk Ellsworth      Battery
Officer Phillips and several other Ingleside officers were on patrol in the Ellsworth Housing Development when they were sent to investigate a battery.  They met with the reportee who said that she had been having issues with one of her neighbors and that the neighbor had assaulted her. She wanted to press charges and signed a citizen’s arrest.  The victim had no visible injuries and no complaint of pain.  The officers responded to the address where the suspect resides and received no answer to the door.  They provided the victim with follow up information.  Report Number 120330462

1:57pm       100 Blk Ridgewood    Att. Fraud
A victim responded to Ingleside station and told PSA Heckenberg that he attempted to sell something on Craigslist and received a check from an interested party.  When the victim went to the bank to cash the check, they told him the check was fraudulent and advised him to file this police report.  He was provided with follow up information.  He provided the officers with a copy of the check and they booked it into evidence at Ingleside station.  Report Number 120327704

6:30pm       Alemany/Farragut     Auto Boost
A victim came to Ingleside station and told PSA Flynn that he locked and secured his vehicle and when he returned found a window smashed and items missing.  He was unable to provide any suspect information and was provided with follow up information.  Report Number 120311755

8:5pm         Ocean/Delano            Att.  Robbery
Officers Quintero and Chan were sent to an attempted robbery.  The victim advised that she was walking down Ocean when a suspect approached her from behind, threw her to the ground, and attempted to take her purse from her.  The victim resisted and began yelling.  The suspect then ran down the street.  The victim was not injured and refused medical assistance.  She said she would be able to recognize the suspect if she saw him again.  She was provided follow up information.  The officers searched the area unsuccessfully for the suspect.  Report Number 120332004
