Arrests:

4:46pm                 3400 Blk Mission           Burglary
Officer Hurwitz responded to the call of a burglary.  An anonymous caller had advised dispatch that there were two males outside of his front window attempting to break into a home.  The caller advised that one male had a screwdriver and was attempting to remove bars from the window of a home and another male was looking around as if he was the “look out.”  The caller provided a detailed description of the men and the home they were attempting to enter.  Officers Conceicao and Barajas responded to assist and detained both men in front of the home.  The resident of the home arrived on scene and noticed the window she had secured and locked had been forced open and the bars on the outside of the window removed.  She advised that she knew the males who were detained but had not given them permission to enter the premises.  The officers placed both men under arrest.  An arrest search located various tools known to the officers to be used to perform burglaries as well as a glass smoking pipe believed to be used to ingest Methamphetamine.  The officers took pictures of the damage to the home which they booked into evidence at Ingleside station.

Both suspects were transported to Ingleside station where they were mirandized and agreed to speak with the officers.  They admitted to being in the area and attempting to enter the home because they were cold.  They knew, however, that the owner would be upset if they entered without her permission and decided not to enter.  That is when the police arrived and detained them.  Both men were booked at Ingleside station for the burglary and possession of burglary tools at the instruction of Sgt. Rainsford.  Report number 110956357  **BEST ARREST OF THE DAY**
