The next Ingleside Community meeting will be held in the Ingleside Police Station Community room on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 7p.m.  There will be light refreshments available to those who come to the meeting.  All are welcome to attend.

Arrests:

1:50pm       3100 Blk. Mission                          Robbery
A customer enjoying a cup of coffee at a local coffee shop was suddenly approached by two suspects one of whom, showed a pistol in his waistband, then grabbed the victim’s cellphone and fled. Ingleside Officers Hopkins and Eugenio arrived and broadcast a description of the suspects. Soon, thereafter, multiple Ingleside units including Lt. McEachern, Sgt. Ly, Sgt. Tam, Sgt. Rogers, Officers Latus, Chang, Salazar, Lim, Wong, and Hornstein arrived and started searching the surrounding area for the suspects. Their efforts paid off as the suspects were quickly located on the 1400 Block of Shotwell and arrested. The victim positively identified the suspects as the pair that robbed him of his phone. The officers also confiscated a BB pistol which resembled an actual firearm. Both suspects were taken to the Juvenile Justice Center and booked for armed robbery. Report number: 180142138


Serious Incidents:


2:33am       500 Blk. Campbell                         Exhibiting a Weapon
Ingleside Officers Billings and Hardy, and many other Ingleside units, responded to a report of two men with guns attempting to break into a home. When the officers arrived the suspects had already left the scene. The victims told the officers they observed one man on the sidewalk talking to another man inside a fence on the 500 block of Campbell. The man on the sidewalk quickly ran away and the second suspect, inside the fence, also tried to escape. The victim’s got in their car, armed with a baseball bat, and chased the second suspect for a short distance before cornering him at Campbell and Delta Streets. When one of the victim’s threatened the suspect with the bat, the suspect took out a black semi-automatic pistol and pointed it at the victims. The suspect then fled the area and the victims returned home to call police. The victims said the pair of suspects may have been among a group of squatters occupying an abandoned home in the area. 7:00am       400 Blk. Sunrise                             Fire
Ingleside Officers Trujillo and Lau responded to a report of a fire at a home. When they arrived medical and fire personnel had already extinguished the blaze. One of the residents was at St. Francis Hospital being treated for smoke inhalation and minor burns. He told the officers he woke up to the smell of smoke and failed in his attempt to extinguish the blaze in the living room near a space heater. Report number: 180141049
