Serious Incidents:

1:00am       Naples & Rolph                                 Robbery
Ingleside Officers Anderson and Burke were dispatched to San Francisco General Hospital to interview the victim of a violent robbery. The patient, who was being treated for a stab wound to his leg, told the officers that he was wounded during a robbery at Athens and Naples Street. He said two men approached him, and without saying a word, reached into his pockets and took his wallet and cell phone. One of the suspects had a knife and stabbed the victim during a brief struggle over the wallet. After the attack, both suspects escaped south on Naples. The victim called a cab to drive him to San Francisco General Hospital. Report number: 171040931

8:35am       Geneva & Naples                               Battery
An unruly and shoeless Muni passenger was angered when the woman operator told her she couldn’t board the bus without shoes. The passenger told the driver, “I ought to hit you”, and followed up the threat by punching the Muni operator on her right arm. The suspect then exited the bus and the operator flagged down Ingleside Officers Gonzalez and Thompson. The officers searched the surrounding area for the suspect without success. Report number: 1471041133

9:00am       Visitacion and Hahn                        Battery
Most likely the same suspect in the above incident tried to board another Muni bus, still without shoes. Again, the operator told the suspect that, for safety reasons, she can’t board the bus. The woman again became combative and punched the driver on the elbow before walking back to her seat. The driver continued on his route and the suspect exited the bus at an unknown location. Later, while on the return route, the driver saw the suspect at Santos and Velasco Streets. She again tried to board the bus but this time he kept the doors closed. She then spit at the bus windows before fleeing in an unknown direction on Velasco Street. Ingleside Officers Alejandrino and Prieto responded to the scene to interview the driver and again search the area for the suspect who was not found. They also summoned medical help for the driver who was treated at the scene. Report number: 171041246

11:15am     Silver & Lisbon                                Robbery
Another Muni bus. Another crime. This one involved the theft of a new IPhone 10. The victim told Ingleside Officers Trujillo and Laoagan that he was sitting at a seat near one of the rear doors, looking at his phone, when an unknown man walked up, grabbed the phone from his hands, and ran off the bus. The victim chased the suspect for several blocks eastbound on Silver before the suspect stopped, turned facing the victim, and said, “what’s up”, before punching the victim in the face. The suspect then ran and boarded a blue Toyota that sped away in an unknown direction. Medics were called and the victim was treated at the scene. Ingleside officers searched the area for the suspect without success. Report number: 171041428

3:00pm       Silver & Mission                              Battery
A woman walked into Ingleside Station telling Police Services Aid Bautista she was attacked on a Muni bus. The victim said she was exiting a #44 Muni bus at Mission and Silver when an unknown man slapped her face and kicked her in the shin.  She said the attack was unprovoked. She refused medical attention. Officers requested video surveillance footage from Muni security. Report number: 171042341

9:52pm       400 Blk. Cortland                             Theft
A worker showing a video to a colleague was suddenly surprised by a stranger who walked up and snatched the phone from his hands. The victim told Ingleside Officers Govindbhai and Cortez Cendejas the suspect fled northbound on Bennington. The victim said he was unable to track the stolen phone after the theft.
