7:45am Cordova & Rolph Aggravated Assault
A man
was brutally attacked while walking his dog by an unknown assailant. The victim
told Ingleside Sgt. Young along with Officers Gonzalez and Kerlegan that he was
walking northbound on Cordova when an unknown suspect approached from behind,
jumped on his back, and started punching him in the head. The victim fell to
the ground and the suspect casually walked away after a woman witness yelled at
him while driving by. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment
of his injuries. The victim’s wife told the officers her husband did not have
any disputes with anyone that she knows of. She did say, however, there was a
suspicious incident two days prior when the front window of their home was
shattered by an unknown suspect or suspects. Ingleside officers, using a
description of the suspect, scoured the neighborhood for him without success.
