Ingleside Police District Illegal
Fireworks Hotline Established for New Year's Eve: 415-404-4002
While 911, 415-553-0123, and 311
are still in place for emergencies, non-emergencies, and service requests,
Ingleside Station is staffing an illegal fireworks hotline during the hours of
1130PM to 0130AM. This number should NOT be used instead of 911 for
emergencies, but should be used if there is an identifiable location in the
Ingleside Police District (not simply the sounds of illegal fireworks) where illegal
fireworks are being used. Call 415-404-4002 with the location
and description and we will prioritize* a response. (*Prioritization
can always be impacted by unforeseen events and incidents where there
is an imminent threat to life which include, but are not limited
to: shootings, stabbings, and persons with firearms/knives).

Jose Resisting
A report of a fight prompted dispatch to send Ingleside Officers
Hardy and Thomas to the scene of the confrontation. Witnesses told dispatch
that a man was slapping two women, one of whom was in the driver’s seat of a
parked car. The officers arrived to find the inebriated suspect standing near
the car and the two victims. He started walking away and refused the officers
commands to stop. After a struggle, the suspect was subdued and arrested for
resisting arrest and public drunkenness. Report number: 171037568
Serious
Incidents:
3:10pm 5900 Blk. Mission Robbery
A laundromat
owner called police to report a theft. He told Ingleside Officers Naser and Lau
that a man walked in and took customers clothes and then ran out of the
facility. The owner chased the suspect and confronted him at the nearby gas station. But,
the suspect took out a hammer and threatened to hit the victim if he didn’t
leave him alone. The suspect then continued to run northbound on Mission and
the victim returned to his laundromat and called police. The loss was about
$400 worth of customer’s clothes. Report number: 171038538
3:57pm 5200 Blk. Diamond Heights Robbery
A
shopper was suddenly confronted by a robber, who slapped the victim’s wallet
from his hand and ran to a waiting Dodge Charger. The victim told Ingleside Officers
Camarra and Zandandel that he attempted to stop the theft by grabbing the
wallet, but instead fell to the ground while the suspects escaped. The loss was
$400 in cash, a driver’s license, and credit cards. Report number: 171038588
8:53pm 100 Blk. Topaz Robbery
A
last minute shopping trip, coupled with some bad decisions, almost caused a man
to lose his life on Christmas Eve. The victim told Ingleside Officers Quinlan
and Rosales-Renteria that he met an unknown woman while shopping at Tanforan
Mall in San Bruno. The pair agreed to do more shopping and traveled to
Toys-R-Us in Colma in the woman’s BMW. After shopping, the woman said she
wanted to pick up her brother and his girlfriend at an unknown location in San
Francisco. The four drove aimlessly around the City finally ending up on the
100 block of Topaz Way where they were supposed to meet a friend of the
suspects for beers. When the victim exited the BMW he heard one of the suspects
chamber a round in a handgun. The suspect pointed the gun at the victim while
one of the other suspects went through the victim’s pockets taking cash, a cell
phone, and earphones. When the suspect lowered the gun the victim took off
running and said he heard a gunshot during his escape. The suspects re-entered
the BMW and drove away in an unknown direction. Report number: 171039069
