Arrests:

8:06pm       Ripley & Folsom                   Warrant Arrest
Ingleside Officers Wise, Van Zandt, Bailey, and Glover were dispatched to Ripley and Folsom to investigate a report of a stolen car. When they arrived on scene they found the driver near the car. He was licensed and the car belonged to a local rental company called, “Shanty Wheels”.  The driver told the officers he got the car from a friend named Chris. The officers searched the car and found a quantity of methamphetamine in the center console. A records check revealed the driver was wanted on a $45,000 warrant out of San Bernandino County and a $5,000 warrant out of Sonoma County. He was arrested and booked at Ingleside Station for the warrants and possession of narcotics. The car, which was rented with a fake credit card by the man named “Chris” and not the driver, was towed to impound. Report number: 170835230

Serious Incidents:

10:22am     Leland & Cora                       Shooting
Ingleside Officers Rodriguez and Reyes were on routine patrol, traveling northbound on Brussels, when they heard a car approaching from behind blaring its horn. The officers stopped and the driver got out and told the officers that a short time before someone shot at his car several times. The officers found holes in the back window and trunk of his car. Meanwhile, other Ingleside officers were dispatched to the intersection of Leland and Cora after a report of “shots fired” There they found several people on the street and two bullet casings on the ground. The victim who flagged down the officers, told them a short while before he was traveling down the street when he noticed a vehicle following closely behind. He kept driving and the car turned off. Soon, he was stopped at the intersection of Leland Cora, when he saw the same vehicle approaching from a different direction. Fearing for his safety, he drove off at high speed just as an occupant of the suspect’s vehicle got out and starting firing at his escaping car. He kept going until he flagged down Officers Rodriguez and Reyes. A witness approached several Ingleside officers scouring the scene of the shooting at Leland and Cora. She told the officers her home, several blocks away, had been damaged by a bullet. The officers went to the home and found a bullet hold in the front wall. The same bullet had traveled through the wall into a room, then through a headboard behind the wall, and then into an adjoining bed sheet and mattress. Report number: 170833400
