Prowl Burglary
A man sleeping in his garage bedroom was awakened by the sound
of his homeowner’s dog barking upstairs. He opened his bedroom door and saw an
unknown man in the garage. The suspect told him to get down on the floor but,
instead of complying, he quickly retreated to his bedroom, locked the door, and
called police. Ingleside Officers Tilfer and Chang arrived to investigate. The
homeowner told the officers that both upstairs bedrooms had been rifled through
and a safe disassembled. The officers also discovered the front gate security
gate and front door had been forced open. The loss from the burglary has yet to
be determined. Report number: 170419163
