Arrests:

12:45pm                         Amazon & Madrid                                        D.U.I
Ingleside Officers Peralta and Williams were dispatched to a collision involving two vehicles. When they arrived, the driver of a Honda Fit, which had collided with a parked Ford Taurus, appeared to be incoherent and was sitting on the curb being assessed by medical personnel. He told the officers that he “blacked out” and didn’t remember anything about the collision. He admitted taking prescription medication and drinking a beer at a nearby restaurant. He consented to a blood alcohol test and was transported to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment of his injuries and the blood draw by a phlebotomist. After treatment he was transported to the county jail where he was booked for driving under the influence. Report number: 170326916

1:00pm                        1700 Blk. Sunnydale                           Stolen Vehicle
The driver of a package delivery vehicle called 911 when, during a stop, his vehicle was stolen. Ingleside Officers Hopkins, Trail, and Chew responded and utilized the “Find My IPhone app” to trace the stolen van as it drove through the City. Hopkins, Trail, and Chew advised dispatch that the van was in the Bayview District on the unit block of Watchman Way where the truck was recovered.  The thief was arrested by Bayview District officers. Over a hundred yet to be delivered packages were recovered inside the stolen van, which was released to the driver at the scene of the arrest. The suspect, who was unlicensed, was arrested and charged with theft and vehicle theft. Ironically the suspect, who was on parole, was arrested a week before for vehicle theft. Report number: 170326966

Serious Incidents:

1:35pm                       Unit Blk. Appleton                          Armed Robbery
A dangerous robber with a warped sense of humor robbed a homeowner. The victim told Ingleside Officers Elliston and Cvetovac that he was putting his house key into the lock on his front door when he felt someone touching his back. He turned around and saw a man with a large knife. The suspect said, “Give me your wallet and cellphone”. The victim, fearing for his life, complied and the suspect started to walk away but not before apologizing for the robbery and advising the victim “to cancel his credit cards”. A witness living nearby told the officers that she heard the victim say several times, “you got to be kidding me”. She also saw the suspect take the victim’s property while holding what she described as “a Crocodile Dundee knife”.  Report number: 170327077

11:26pm                    Silver & Mission                                            Robbery
Ingleside Officers Young and Wong, along with several other Ingleside units were dispatched to a report of a robbery. When they arrived on scene they found the victim lying on the sidewalk in a pool of blood. The officers requested an ambulance and applied first aid. Witnesses told the officers that they observed the victim and two men arguing over a subject they couldn’t hear. At the hospital, after being treated for bruises and lacerations, the victim told the officers that he was approached by two men who offered to sell him some tools and “two balls of dough”. When the victim said he would pay $35 for the tools but not the dough, he was attacked by the suspects who punched and kicked him in the head after he fell to the ground. The suspects took his $35 and fled in a black four door car that pulled up to the scene of the robbery. Report number: 170328887
