10:00am 1800 Blk. Felton Hot Prowl Burglary
A report of a home burglary sent Ingleside Sgt. Yesitis and
Officers Gomez, Glover, Chew, Elliston and Cvetovac to investigate. When the
officers arrived they found one of the victim’s sitting on a couch with
injuries to his eyes and other parts of his face. The officers summoned medical
assistance and interviewed the victim while waiting for their arrival. He told
the officers that he was sleeping in his bedroom at a downstairs in-law unit
when he was awakened by two suspects wearing black masks. The suspects demanded
money. When the victim said he didn’t have any, they started hitting him
several times with their fist. Then, while one suspect held the victim down,
the other suspect ransacked the bedroom taking a small amount of cash before
escaping. The homeowner returned home and told the officers he found the front
door broken and all the upstairs bedrooms ransacked. Report number:170305829
