Mission Aggravated
Assault
A fight over a cell phone resulted in one of the combatants
being taken to the hospital with a serious brain injury. Witnesses told
Ingleside Officers Young and Parker that four people, three men and a woman,
were seen arguing on the sidewalk in front of the Safeway Store. The argument
became heated and one of the combatants pushed another in the chest causing him
to fall and hit his head on a planter box. The four then ran away southbound on
Mission Street. They were soon spotted at a bus stop by Ingleside Officers Wong
and Ortega who arrested the suspect and released the other two friends. He was
charged with aggravated assault. The victim was transported to San Francisco
General Hospital for treatment. Report number: 160909180
