Arrests:
3:30pm Unit Blk Chenery Burglary
Ingleside Officers Paras, Tien, Lustenberger, and Barajas and numerous
other units were dispatched to a home on the unit block of Chenery after a
report of a burglar, wearing a motorcycle helmet and leather jacket, who
escaped into backyards in the neighborhood. The Chenery property manager told
the officers he heard a scream “thief” from one of his renters, and saw the
suspect running down the front stairs of his apartment house. The witness
chased the suspect northbound on Chenery Street until the burglar jumped over a
fence and disappeared. The officers placed a perimeter around the area and
searched homes, rooftops, and backyards before finding and arresting the
suspect on 30th Street between Dolores and San Jose Avenue. He had
discarded the helmet and jacket and was wearing clothing stolen from one of the
