Blythedale Battery of a Police Officer
Dispatch sent Ingleside Officers Hornstein, Devlin, and Trail
to investigate a rent dispute. When they arrived on scene the pregnant woman,
who called police, said another resident attacked her when she asked for the
month’s rent. The officers went upstairs to the suspect’s bedroom and found her
drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana. They asked the woman to put down the
alcohol but she declined. Instead, she attacked the officers including kicking
officer Trail several times in one of knees knocking him to the ground. She was
finally placed in custody and was subsequently transferred to San Francisco
General Hospital for treatment. Officer Trail, unable to walk, was transported
to UCSF for treatment of his knee injury. The suspect’s pregnant roommate was
transported to Kaiser Hospital for treatment of her injuries. The suspect was
later booked for battery on a police officer and transported to the county
jail. Report number: 160723225

responded. The officers found several drawers and cabinets upstairs in three
bedrooms in various states of disarray. Clothing and papers were strewn about
and thousands of dollars in jewelry and cash missing. The officers inspected
