Chavez Carjacking
Ingleside officers Sandoval and Villalozano were dispatched to
interview a carjacking victim whose vehicle was stolen the night before. The
victim told the officers that he was parked in the 3300 block of Cesar Chavez
trying to sleep in his car. An unknown man walked up and asked to sleep in the car
and the victim said “yes”. When the victim awoke the next morning the unknown
suspect had a firearm in his lap and told the victim he was taking his car. The
victim, fearing for his life, got out of his car and the suspect drove away. He
told the officers that he was too scared to call the officers the night before
when the crime occurred. Report number: 160693060
1:48pm 700 Blk Amazon Hot Prowl Burglary
A man, asleep in his bedroom, awoke to strange noises
emanating from outside his bedroom door, He opened the door and immediately saw
a man, carrying a microwave oven, and holding a crowbar. The victim noticed a
second suspect standing by his garage door. The second suspect yelled to the
first man, “hurry up!” Both men ran out
of the home through the garage door and entered a waiting vehicle which sped
away. Ingleside officers Hopkins and Mackenzie arrived and searched the home
for clues. The officers discovered the suspects entered the home by prying open
