Arrests:

11:47pm                        4900 Blk Mission St                         Robbery
Officers Zhao and Neary were on patrol when they were alerted by a passerby of a possible assault happening on Mission Street.  The officers responded and spotted two men, who the witness identified as the suspects.  Upon exiting the vehicle, the officers heard the sound of metal hitting the pavement just before the suspects fled in two different directions.  The officers gave chase and caught up to one of the suspects, detaining him.  Sgt. Ly responded to the area where the suspects were initially spotted and recovered a handgun, which ended up being a BB gun with the orange tip removed giving it the appearance of a real handgun.  Officers Quinlan and Siracusa arrived on scene and located the victim, who was bleeding from the head.  The victim told the officers that two suspects approached him and demanded his money.  The victim said that each suspect had a gun and pointed it at him.  One of the suspects struck the victim in the head with the handgun while yanking his chain from around his neck.  The victim fell to the ground as one of the suspects began to kick him in the head.  Medics responded and transported the victim to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.  The suspect in custody was positively identified by several witnesses.  The second suspect is still outstanding.  This case is still under investigation.
