Prowl Burglary
A man was awakened by the sound of his garage door opening. He
looked out his front window and saw an unknown man inside his wife’s Prius
which was parked in front of the home. The victim stomped on the floor, above
the garage, and called police. The suspect quickly fled moments before
Ingleside Officers Sandoval and McMilton arrived. The victim’s wife told the
officers that she kept a garage door opener inside the Prius and believed the
suspect used the device to enter the home’s garage. Both victims said nothing
was missing from the premises. Report number: 160399274
1:50pm 3400 Blk Mission Robbery w/Force
A woman working while sitting in a café was robbed of her
computer. The victim told Ingleside Officers Campos and Elliston that she was
sitting at a table with earphones connected to her laptop when an unknown male
suspect came in, grabbed her computer, then ran away. A couple of café patrons
chased the suspect but lost sight of him a few blocks away. Investigators are
reviewing surveillance video of the theft which may help identify the thief.
