4:44am 2200 Blk Bayshore Robbery
This is a case where two store clerks unwisely decided to
chase two petty thieves with a bat. The two store clerks spotted two suspects
stealing a bag of chips and a package of gum. The suspects ran out of the store
to a waiting car in the store’s parking lot. The two clerks retrieved baseball
bats from the store and chased the suspects into the parking lot thinking the
baseball equipment would somehow persuade the thieves to pay for the stolen
items. However, when they approached the suspect’s car one of the occupants
pulled out a firearm and pointed it at the clerks. The two employees retreated
to the store and called police. Ingleside Officers Shih and Carew responded to
