The U.S. Department of Justice,
Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS Office) wants to hear your
perspectives, concerns, and suggestions regarding the San Francisco Police
Department and its interaction with the San Francisco community.
Your participation in this open
forum will help guide our efforts to advance the operations, staff, policies,
procedures, accountability systems, and training of the San Francisco Police
Department.
At this listening session,
representatives from the COPS Office will introduce the Collaborative Reform
Initiative and hear from community members.
Perspectives, concerns, and suggestions
regarding the San Francisco Police Department and the department’s interaction
with the San Francisco community are welcome.

2:24am Kingston/Coleridge Robbery
A man waiting for a MUNI bus was approached by another waiting
rider and invited him to his nearby home for a beer. The victim accepted the
invitation and walked with the suspect eastbound from Mission to Kingston
Street and then eastbound on Kingston to the staircase between Coleridge and
Prospect Avenues. Halfway up the staircase the suspect pushed the victim into
some bushes causing him to fall to the ground. The suspect then grabbed the
victim’s wallet containing around $200 in cash and fled. Ingleside Officers
Dilag and Elizondo responded to the scene and interviewed the victim. They also
searched the crime scene and recovered the victim’s wallet but not the cash.
