Some follow delivery trucks and others just porch surf looking for
opportunities. So, if you’re ordering online, arrange delivery for when you or
a family member are home. If you can’t, try to arrange delivery to a local
mailbox store or have the delivery held at a safe location until you are home.
If you’re shopping the traditional way and visiting stores for your purchase,
be sure to place your packages out of sight if you have to leave them in your
car. However, it’s best not to leave anything of value in your car, even your
trunk. Thieves watch mall parking lots and downtown garages for opportunities.

Have a U.S. High School Diploma, have passed a G.E.D. or the
California High School Proficiency, or have an AA or higher degree from an
accredited college or university.
Have a valid driver license to
operate an automobile.

copy of your DD214 to the written test.
The Police
Officer Testing Components:
A multiple choice written examination that measures basic
reading and writing abilities.
A physical ability examination that
measures strength, endurance, equilibrium and flexibility.
An oral interview that tests oral communication, problem
solving and interpersonal skills.
Candidates who pass the three part Police Officer examination
process move on to the background investigation process. The background
investigation process consists of:

- Medical
examination that includes a vision test, a hearing test and height/weight

1:21am Pioche/Oxford Robbery
A robbery victim may have gotten the best Christmas
present ever…. his life. Ingleside Officers Scott and Hardy were dispatched to
a call of shots fired in the neighborhood of Pioche and Harvard Street. When
they arrived, the officers found the victim bleeding profusely from a head
wound. He told the officers that he was walking eastbound on Pioche approaching
Oxford when an unknown suspect approached holding a silver revolver. The
suspect demanded the victim relinquish a bag he had in his right hand, striking
the victim in the head with the revolver. The suspect then grabbed the bag and
asked the victim for his wallet. The victim pleaded for his life and started
pulling his wallet from his back pocket. The suspect, for unknown reasons,
fired a shot into the ground and grabbed the wallet. The victim then grabbed
the suspect’s weapon and began struggling with him. During the struggle, the
suspect fired a second shot into the ground. The victim attempted to punch the
suspect but missed. The suspect then fled northbound on Oxford with the victim
chasing him for a short distance before abandoning the pursuit. The loss was
medication, a checkbook, cash, credit cards, an ATM card, driver’s license and
a medical insurance card. Report number; 151109187
Captains Note: Nothing is more valuable than your
life. If an armed suspect approaches you, calmly comply with his demands while
noticing any personal characteristics that will help police apprehend him. This
victim was very lucky he escaped the encounter without serious wounds or the
loss of his life.
