Arrests:

6:24pm       200 Blk Geneva                               Evading a Police Officer
For some time, Ingleside Station officers have been dealing with marauding groups of unlicensed, uninsured, sometimes stolen, dirt bikes committing numerous crimes. On this date, dispatch notified all officers that an off duty Ingleside officer was surrounded and being threatened in the Taraval district. Shortly after hearing the notice, Ingleside Officers Snadow and Wise spotted a group of five masked riders, some without helmets, driving eastbound on Geneva. The officers turned on their emergency lights and siren and tried to detain the 5 dirt bike riders. But, instead of stopping, the suspects took off at a high rate of speed eastbound on Geneva. Fearing for the public safety, Snadow and Wise terminated their pursuit but continued searching the district for the suspects. They, again encountered the group on Moscow Street where the pursuit was resumed and then, again terminated, because of safety concerns. Again the officers, joined by other Ingleside units, continued looking for the suspects and finally found success when they spotted one of the riders on his inoperable dirt bike at Geneva and Mission. He was arrested and cited for numerous vehicle violations in addition to being charged with evading a police officer. He was unlicensed and the dirt bike was uninsured and licensed only for off road use. It was towed to the impound yard. Report number: 151114998

11:01pm     Geneva/Mission                               Resisting Arrest
Ingleside Officers Hoge and Wells, while on routine patrol, noticed a man urinating in public behind a MUNI bus stop. The officers exited their patrol car and approached the inebriated suspect asking him to sit down on the sidewalk because they were going to cite him for being drunk and urinating in public. The suspect refused several times to sit down and when officer Wells tried to place him in handcuffs, he pushed Officer Wells in the face and chest. He was finally subdued and taken to Ingleside Station where he was cited for the above charges as well as resisting arrest and battery on a police officer. Report number: 151115504

Arrests:

6:49pm       Mission/Geneva                      D.U.I
It was the night before Christmas and all through the district the officers were busy patrolling the streets and trying to stay warm with the weather a little “chilla”. But the hope for a quiet night was not to be for Officers Nagai and Archilla. Dispatch received a call of a vehicle collision involving three cars near the intersection of Geneva and Mission. When the officers arrived they found all drivers standing near their damaged vehicles. Two motorists said the driver of an older Nissan SUV sideswiped one of their cars and rear ended the other when it was stopped at a red light. The woman driver of the Nissan admitted to rear ending the stopped truck, but denied sideswiping the Jaguar. All drivers were licensed and insured.  The officers noticed the driver of the Nissan had slurred speech and trouble walking. She was given a roadside sobriety test which she failed. A computer check revealed she was on probation for D.U.I out of Palo Alto. She was booked for D.U.I and transported to Mission Station where a blood draw was performed. Later, she was taken to the county jail. Report number: 151106606

The suspect took a bag and other valuables from the vehicle and then suddenly walked up to the victim, pinned her against the car using his hand against her face, grabbed her cell phone and wallet and ran away down Persia Street. A witness chased the suspect for several blocks before losing sight of him. The victim declined medical help. Ingleside units searched the surrounding area without success. Report number: 151107636
