9:00pm       Unit Blk Leland   Battery
A man closing his business was violently assaulted by a trespasser. The victim told Ingleside Officers Snadow, Watts, Wells, Marshall, Hardy, and Scott that the suspect refused to leave his business. When the owner said he would call the police if he didn’t leave, the suspect became violent, striking the store owner several times with his fist causing severe bruising and lacerations. Family members who heard the commotion rushed downstairs, confronted and struggled with the suspect. The suspect then punched the victim’s parked vehicle, damaging one of the doors. He was promptly arrested by arriving officers and charged with Battery with severe injuries, malicious mischief, vandalism, and trespassing. The victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment of his injuries. Report number: 150470113

4:00pm       100 Blk Park       Hot Prowl Burglary
A husband and wife returned home and heard a noise coming from a downstairs room. The man went to a stairway connecting the upstairs with the downstairs and yelled, “Who’s down there?” Just then, he observed four men running out of his back door and escaping through his backyard. Ingleside Officer’s Der and Calupad responded and searched the home for evidence. They found a broken rear door and suspected it was used to break into the home. They also found several baseball cards in the backyard belonging to the son of the owners.  A search for the suspect turned up negative.  Report number: 150469699
