Blk Rome Vandalism/Burglary
A woman heard a noise in the front of her home and decided
to look out the window for the source. When she did, she noticed a backpack on
the ground next to her daughter’s car which was parked in the driveway. The
woman quickly went down stairs and opened the home’s front door just as the
vehicle’s alarm sounded. When she stepped outside, the suspect exited her
daughter’s car, grabbed the backpack, and sprinted away. The woman called “911”
and then got into her own car and started searching for the suspect. She found
him a short time later sitting in, what he said was his car, on the 100 block
of Mt. Vernon. She asked for her daughter’s property but the suspect got out of
the car and ran away. She lost sight of him until, a short time later, she
spotted him in the custody of Ingleside Officers Hoge and Kikuchi on Mission
Street. The suspect was arrested for burglary and malicious mischief vandalism
for damaging the victim’s vehicle. Report number: 150262120

Burglary
A woman asleep in her apartment was awakened by a noise.
Thinking it was mice, she stayed in bed. But when she again heard the noise she
turned over and saw an unknown man standing at her table, using a phone light,
to look through her papers. Startled, the woman yelled, “Who are you?” The man ran outside and the victim called
police and Ingleside Officers Morgante and Trujillo responded. The loss was credit
and other cards. The officers believe the suspect may have entered the
apartment through an unlocked storage door. Report number: 150262330
