Blk of Lamartine
Burglary
A resident of Lamartine Street heard banging noises coming
from outside his home. He told Ingleside Officers Thompson and Lim that the
noises sounded like someone trying to break glass. He went outside and saw a subject
standing near a green Toyota Camry holding a pair of pliers while trying to pry
open the passenger window. Unsuccessful, the suspect then walked away and tried
to break into two more parked vehicles. The witness went inside his home and
asked his roommate to call police. Ingleside Officer Thompson was the first to
arrive. Officers Thompson, Campos and Lim attempted to arrest the suspect but
violently resisted. After a prolonged struggle, and with the assistance of the
recently arrived Officer Trail, they were able to place the suspect in
handcuffs and into the back of a patrol car. A search of the suspect’s
belongings turned up several burglary tools used to break into vehicles along
with items stolen from three cars parked in the neighborhood. The suspect was
taken to Ingleside Station and booked for burglary, resisting arrest, and
several other related charges. Report number: 150231012
Serious Incidents:
6:15am Geneva/Munich Robbery
A man waiting for the bus was assaulted and robbed of his
belongings. The victim told Ingleside Officer Carrasco that two men approached
him and one of the suspects punched him in the face. The other suspect reached
into his pants pocket and stole his cell phone. Both suspects then grabbed his
backpack and ran away in an unknown direction. The loss was a backpack
containing miscellaneous items and the cell phone. A search of the surrounding
area by numerous Ingleside units failed to find the robbers. Report number:

6:45am Crescent/Murray Robbery
A young man, returning home after working all night, was
assaulted and robbed by two unknown suspects. The victim told Ingleside Officer
Chang that he was walking eastbound on Crescent from Mission when he noticed
two men looking at a parked motor scooter. The victim walked across the street
from the men and kept going on his way home. However, after passing the two
men, he soon heard footsteps approaching from behind. One of the suspects asked
the victim, “Do you know what time it is?” Before he could answer the two men
began punching the victim over two dozen times in the face and body. During the
assault they removed his cell phone, wallet and back pack. After taking his
property, the suspects, now joined by a third man, ran away toward Mission Street.
The loss was wallet, identification, cell phone, glasses, and backpack. Officer
Chang broadcast a description of the suspects to other Ingleside units who searched
the area without success. Report number: 150230484
