Arrests:

0:50am       Mission/Ocean               Robbery
Ingleside Officers Dominguez and Carrasco were on routine patrol when they were dispatched to a strong arm robbery that had just occurred near the intersection of Mission and Ocean. The police dispatcher said the two suspects were described as young men, about 20 years old, with one wearing a grey sweater, and the other a black sweater. As the officers arrived on scene, they noticed two men, matching the robber’s description, walking briskly down Mission. They were being followed by two other men, later identified as the victims. The two victims, upon seeing the officers, started pointing at the two suspects walking down the street. By now, the two suspects also noticed Officers Dominguez and Carrasco. One suspect quickly dived between two parked cars and tried to hide. Officer Carrasco, driving the police cruiser, quickly stopped the car and took that suspect into custody. Officer Dominquez followed the other suspect back to the intersection of Mission and Ocean and placed him under arrest.

Other Ingleside Officers soon arrived to help with the arrests. Both victims told the officers they were walking down Mission when the suspects approached them and asked for money. Both victims declined to give them their cash, and kept walking away. One of the suspects then ran up and placed his forearm around the victim’s neck, and demanded the cell phone he was carrying in his right hand. A struggle soon erupted with the suspect pummeling the victim with his fists and kicking him when he fell on the ground, then grabbing the cell phone and running away. Both victims positively identified the suspects as the men who had robbed them.  Both suspects were transported to Ingleside Station and charged with robbery and several other crimes. The victims were treated for minor injuries at the scene. Report number: 130529417

Fearing for his life, he gave up his property and watched the suspects run back to their waiting car and quickly drive away. The victim was unsure if he could recognize the suspects.  He was not injured and refused medical treatment.  A police search of the area for the suspects and the suspect vehicle was unsuccessful.
