Arrests:

12:03am     3700 Blk Mission          Robbery
Ingleside Officers Hermosura and Contreras were on routine patrol when they were flagged down by two young men who claimed they were assaulted and robbed by five suspects.  The suspects then fled in a black SUV. The victims said they were standing outside a bar when the suspects started punching and kicking one of the brothers.  The suspects searched through the victim’s pockets and took his cell phone and car keys. All the suspects then ran away and boarded a waiting vehicle.

While interviewing the victims, and as Ingleside officers canvassed the area for the vehicle, one of the victims pointed to an SUV that came to a stop at a stoplight.  He told the officers that the suspects were in that vehicle. The officers, along with other Ingleside units, affected a traffic stop, handcuffed and removed the five occupants. The victims were brought to the scene where the suspects were detained and positively identified three of the vehicle occupants as the suspects who had robbed them. All three were taken to Ingleside Station and booked for robbery and assault. Case number: 130511931

Serious Incidents:

2:30am       4500 Blk Mission          Assault
Officer Anderson was dispatched to San Francisco General Hospital to interview an assault victim. When he arrived, the medical staff directed him to a heavily sedated man who was suffering from multiple abrasions and a severe head injury.  Officer Anderson spoke with a witness to the assault who told Officer Anderson that both he and the victim had been drinking at a local bar. The victim left to walk home and, shortly thereafter, the witness said he left.  The witness said he offered the victim a ride home earlier, but the victim refused. While driving home, he noticed the victim on the ground and a suspect continually punching him in the face. When the suspect saw the witness exit his vehicle, he ran away. The witness picked up the victim and drove him to the hospital for treatment. Officer Anderson took pictures of the victim’s injuries as evidence.  The witness said he does not believe he could identify the suspect. Officer Anderson returned to the scene of the assault to search for clues. He did find surveillance cameras on a nearby building that may have video of the crime. Report number: 130512246

7:00am      Unit Blk Virginia          Terrorist Threats
Ingleside Officer’s Pai and Cross were sent to investigate a report of a threat at an apartment house on Virginia. When they arrived, the victim told the officers he had gotten into an argument with another man over the cleaning of a common bathroom. The victim said he had cleaned the bathroom and a short time later, the suspect left the bathroom dirty again. When he confronted the suspect about the dirty bathroom, the man took out a knife and made a slicing motion saying, “Next time I see you, I’ll hit you”. The victim was not injured in the incident, but felt threatened and wanted to file a police report. The officers advised the victim to call the police next time he saw the suspect. Officers searched the building and the adjoining area for the suspect to no avail.  Report number: 130513131

Ingleside Officer Kilgariff interviewed the victim.  She told him she was standing with friends outside the Excelsior Library when a young man approached her and grabbed her phone. The victim pulled the phone close to her body, trying to prevent the theft. The suspect then took out a small lighter and held it one inch from her chest, demanding the phone and frightening the victim. At that moment, an unknown person exited the library which prompted the would be robber to run away. The victim ran home and called the police.
