Arrests:
9:59pm Oakdale/Loomis Drunk Driving
Sergeants Deshong and Jusino happened to be out on patrol near the border of Ingleside and Bayview district. As they came to a stop at a Red light at the intersection of Oakdale and Loomis Street, they noticed a Black Acura that was slowly rolling and jerking forward as if it was ready to run the Red light. Moments before the light turned Green, a passenger from this same vehicle jumped out and began walking away. When the light turned Green, the Black Acura immediately turned right, cutting off the vehicle that was next to him in the slow lane. Seeing this, the sergeants followed the vehicle and effected a traffic stop. They made contact with the driver who smelled of alcohol. The driver’s speech was slurred and his eyes were bloodshot. During the investigation, the driver became uncooperative and slightly combative. Sgt Deshong requested additional units. After arriving as back-up, Officers Jones and Campos conducted a DUI investigation. It was concluded that the driver was driving under the influence and subsequently arrested and booked for the offense. Report Number: 130208467 **Best Arrest of the Day**

The victim said he was inside an internet shop, located along the 4400 block of Mission Street, playing video games on one of the many available computers. Without warning, he felt a blow and was knocked unconscious. Seconds later, as he regained consciousness, the victim said he was still being attacked. The suspects then stopped and fled in an unknown direction. The victim said he briefly looked at the suspects and believed they were his ex-girlfriend’s brothers who were sent to beat him up. The victim said he was taken to the hospital by an acquaintance where he received medical treatment for his injuries. Officer Duffin responded to the place of business in an attempt to get a copy of the surveillance video. The case is still under investigation. Report Number: 130210365.

Take extra precautions to avoid a criminal window-shopping inside your car. Never give them a reason to break into your car and steal your belongings.
Safety Tips:
*Try to park in a well- lit area and always lock your doors and secure your windows.
*Do not leave possessions on the seat or in plain view.
*Never hide belongings under the seat: This is the first place burglars check.
*Never cover expensive items with an article of clothing or blanket: This presents a hidden clue to thieves that items may be underneath.
*Do not leave any important documents inside your car that contain your personal information.
* Do not leave phone or MP3 chargers plugged in: this leads the burglar to believe there are expensive electronics inside your car.
Remember, if a criminal is unsuccessful and is not benefitting from his criminal activity, the thief will move on, thus making your neighborhood less of a target.
