Be vigilant of suspicious vehicles pulling up and its occupants asking for directions and/or to use your phone and then fleeing the scene with your property.

3:46pm 4900 Blk Mission Robbery
Officers Gonzalez and Archilla responded to a call of a robbery on the 4900 block of Mission Street. While responding to the scene, dispatch advised the officers that someone was holding a female down across the street from Safeway. Officer Fulgado was the first unit to arrive and located two females who turned out to be a victim and a suspect. The victim only spoke Cantonese, therefore, Officer Fulgado requested a translator to respond to the scene. At this same time, a bystander walked by Officer Fulgado and pointed at the suspect and said, “That’s her”. Officer Fung arrived and spoke with the victim who said she was surrounded by three females who blocked her path and did not let her pass. The suspect mentioned above came up from behind and tried to take the victims purse. The victim said she struggled to keep her purse but was overpowered by the suspect. The suspect and then ran away with the purse. The victim chased after the suspect and caught up to her a block away, but by this time the suspect no longer had the purse. The victim said she held the suspect at bay until the police arrived. A search of the area for the remaining two suspects was conducted to no avail. The suspect in custody was booked for the robbery at Ingleside Station. Report Number 130067536
Serious Incidents:
3:04pm 400 Blk Geneva Theft
Officers Gonzalez and Archilla as well as Sgt Lozada went to a call of a theft that just occurred on the 400 block of Geneva Avenue. The victim advised them that she was getting off the Muni Bus 29 line, coming from the mall, when a female suspect snatched her Iphone out of her hand. The victim said she was on the bus seated at the back of the Muni coach by herself when the suspect boarded the bus several stops later and stood next to the rear exit doors. The victim paid no attention and was listening to music and texting. When the bus arrived at the Balboa Bart Station, the suspect exited first. The victim then exited and was confronted by the suspect, who snatched the Iphone from the victim’s hand. The victim screamed and said, “She took my phone”. The suspect then replied, “What are you talking about”, and left running up Geneva headed towards Howth Street. Officer Gonzalez and Sgt Lozada searched the area and were unable to locate the suspect. Officer Archilla and Sgt Lozada located a surveillance camera on BART property and requested a copy of the video as well as a copy of the surveillance recorded on the Muni bus. The victim was not injured during the incident. Report Number 130067326.
4:21pm Brunswick/Lowell Robbery
Sgt Lozada and Officer Sugitan went to Brunswick and Lowell Street on a call of a robbery. When they arrived they spoke to the victim who said he was on his way home from work and was walking Westbound on Lowell Street. As he crossed the intersection, he noticed two suspects standing at the bottom of some stairs on the 100 block of Lowell Street. The victim proceeded to cross the street when the suspects ran after him and cornered him. One of the suspects pointed a Black revolver at the victims face and said, “Give it to me’. The victim fearing for his life, handed over the gym bag he was carrying. The other suspect searched the victim’s pockets and took his cell phone. Both suspect then fled the area on foot. The victim was not injured. Report Number 130067592.
6:55pm 400 Blk Geneva Theft
A victim walked into Ingleside Station and requested to file a theft report. Officer Conroy spoke to the female victim who said she was standing street level at the Balboa BART station waiting for the bus. At this time, a newer light Blue four door sedan, possibly a Honda, stopped next to her with two female suspects aboard. The suspects asked the victim for directions and engaged her in conversation. The suspect in the passenger seat was holding an Iphone in her hand and told the victim that phone battery died and wanted to use her phone. The victim proceeded to hand over her phone and waited for the suspect to make the phone call. The suspects then asked for other directions and suddenly drove away with the victim’s phone. The victim was unable to get the vehicle’s license plate number. Report Number 130068142.
7:40pm Andover/Ellert Robbery
Officer Dilag and Khan were dispatched to the 400 block of Cortland on a report of a woman who had just been robbed at gunpoint. The victim said she was walking along on Andover Street headed southbound approaching Ellert Street. Suddenly, a suspect ran towards her while holding a long barreled, silver handgun. A second suspect approached her from another direction and blocked her path. The suspect pointed the gun at the victim and said, “Give me everything you have, don’t fight. You have four seconds to run”. Fearing that she would be harmed, the victim immediately dropped both her shoulder bag and book bag and ran. The suspects picked up her property as she turned and ran to Cortland Avenue for help. The victim was not injured and the suspects got away with her Ipod, cell phone, two tablets and miscellaneous cards and keys. Report Number 130068249.
7:50pm 100 Blk Gold Mine Robbery
Officer Castillo along with multiple Ingleside units responded to the 100 block of Gold Mine Drive regarding a report of a robbery where the victim was hit in the head with a gun and her purse taken during the incident. The victim said she arrived home with a friend and proceeded to park the vehicle in her driveway. The victim said she and her friend remained inside the vehicle talking for a while. Moments later, they heard noises coming from across the street. Suddenly, within seconds, two suspects appeared. One of the suspects had his index finger pressed against his lips motioning for the victim to keep quiet, while holding a gun in his other hand. The suspect without warning, hit the victim on the left side of her head and grabbed her purse. Both suspects fled the scene on foot. Later during the investigation, a resident on the 100 block of Avalon called the victim informing her that her property was found on the street. Officer Castillo responded and collected the victim’s property. Medics were called out to the scene to treat large bump she had received as a results of the attack. Report Number 130068324.
8:00pm Bosworth/Cuvier Theft
Officer Shugars and Paras went to meet with a reportee who was a victim of a theft. The victim said she had just left the Glen Park BART Station and was walking on Bosworth headed towards Cuvier Street. As she was walking, the victim said she felt someone touch her on her right hip area. The victim turned around and saw a female suspect reach into her right side pants pocket and take her Iphone, while a second female suspect stood there acting as a look out. Both suspects then ran to a Silver four door sedan that was waiting at the intersection. The victim said she would be able to identify the suspect that took her phone. Report Number 130068368.
9:41pm 400 Blk Silver Robbery
Officer Anderson went to the 400 block of Silver on a call of a robbery. Officer Anderson met with the victim who said he was working behind the register of the store when two suspects walked into the store. One of the suspects purchased an item which made the victim open the register. The second suspect then pulled out a gun from his jacket and said, “Don’t move and don’t touch anything”. The suspect then reaches over and takes the money. They then ordered the victim to empty out his pockets taking his property as well. Both suspects fled running down Congdon and then jumping into a Tan SUV vehicle, which fled the scene. Report Number 130068534.
