They ran the license plate which showed the vehicle to be a stolen car. They notified dispatch and effected a traffic stop on the car. The driver and its two occupants pulled over at Geneva and Delano, and with the help of additional Ingleside units, all the suspects were taken into custody. After a brief investigation, the occupants were released from the scene. The driver was transported back to Ingleside Station and booked for the stolen car. The vehicle was also towed from the scene. 4:20pm 4500 Blk Mission Robbery
Officers Fung and Sugitan were on routine patrol when they were flagged down at Mission and Santa Rosa. The officers stopped and spoke to a victim who said she was just robbed by a suspect who was now walking away. The victim then pointed down the street and identified the man that just robbed her. The officers took immediate action and caught up to the suspect and ordered him to stop. The suspect ignored their commands and continued walking away. The officers used force to take the suspect into custody. Moments later, two more victims arrived; one of whom also said she was robbed by the same suspect. The remaining victim said she was assaulted by the same suspect. The first victim said she was inside a Laundromat when the suspect came in offering to sell her some jewelry. The suspect immediately reached out and grabbed the gold chain she had around her neck. The victim tried to defend herself, but the suspect was able to rip the chain from her neck. She then ran to the back of the Laundromat and asked for help. The suspect then walked out onto Mission Street and approached a second victim
And immediately grabbed her from behind as she was walking and snatched her gold necklace as well. The suspect continued on Mission Street and confronted the third victim and said, “What are you looking at”, and then swung the jewelry he had in his hands striking the victim in the back of her head. The suspect was transported to Ingleside Station where it was revealed he was actually on parole. The suspect was booked on numerous charges. The suspect’s parole agent was made aware of his actions and told he was headed back to prison. Report Number 121018740. **********Best Arrest of the Day**********
6:33pm Mission/Eugenia Assault
Officer Duffin was on duty working on bike patrol when he was flagged down in the area of Mission and 30th Streets. The victim ran up to the officer and said, “I was just jacked”. The victim said that there were two suspects and pointed down to Mission and Eugenia Street. Officer Duffin obtained the suspect’s description and rode to the intersection. Once there, Officer Duffin saw two subjects running away. Officer Duffin broadcasted the information, and it just so happened that Officers Cassinelli and Morrow were stopped at Mission and Eugenia Street, waiting at a Red light. The officers drove up the street and were able to detain one of the two suspects. The outstanding suspect was never located. The victim said that he was on the Muni bus when the suspect in custody boarded the bus and sat next to him. The suspect tried talking to the victim. The suspect then grabbed at the victim’s pockets as if to see what he had. The victim immediately stood up and pushed the suspect away. The suspect stood up and pressed the victim up against the rear doors. Two of the suspect’s friends stood up as well and tried to separate the two. When the bus stopped at the bus stop, the victim, the suspect and one of his friends fell out of the bus and onto the sidewalk. The third subject stayed on the bus and left as the bus continued down Mission Street. The two suspects then began assaulting the victim and sprayed him with spray paint before fleeing on Mission Street. The victim viewed the suspect in custody and identified him as the one that tried to rob him and assaulted him. The suspect was booked at Ingleside Station. Report Number 121019196.
