Arrests:

4:30pm       Ankeny/Mill                          False Registration
Officers Tillan and Ng were on patrol when they came across and illegally parked vehicle at the intersection of Ankeny and Mill Street. The vehicle was blocking the wheelchair access to the sidewalk located on the Southwest corner. Officer Tillan went to issue a citation and noticed that someone was seated in the driver seat. Officer Tillan made contact with the driver and then ran the license plate and found out that the registration had been expired as of 10/2012, but was displaying a current 2013 registration tab, which had not been issued to the vehicle. The driver/owner of the vehicle said that the car came with the 2013 registration tab and could not provide any current registration documentation. Officer Tillan then seized the license plate, towed the vehicle for the violation and cited the owner and released him from the scene. Report Number 120959404.

4:30pm       100 Blk Elliot                       Auto Burglary

Officers Paras and Shugars responded to the 100 Blk of Elliot Street regarding a possible auto burglary in progress. The officers were told by dispatch that a male suspect and a female suspect were taking tires off of a White Honda Civic. Dispatch went on to provide a physical description on both suspects as well as a clothing description. Officers Naval and Morrow responded as well and was the first unit on scene when they saw two individuals, matching the description, walking away from a White Honda. Both officers immediately detained the suspects. Officer Naval then ran the license plate on the White Honda which revealed it to be a stolen vehicle. Officer Shugars spoke with the witness/caller who stated he was parking his truck when he noticed the two suspects drive up in the White Honda and attempted to park behind his truck. The two suspects then left and proceeded to park the vehicle around the corner. The witness kept watching them as the male passenger got out and took off the two wheels on the passenger side and replaced them with two smaller spare tires. The female suspect was helping as well. The male went around to the other side and began taking off the wheels on the driver’s side. The witness thought this was very suspicious and decided to call the police. Both suspects were then transported to Ingleside Station where it was revealed that the male suspect was actually on active parole. His parole agent was contacted and made aware of his extracurricular activities. Both suspects were booked accordingly and the vehicle returned to its rightful owner. Report Number 120959539.

Officers Ma and Peregrina responded to a call of an attempted robbery that took place in the area of Mission and Highland Avenue. They met with the victim who said he was standing on the Northeast corner when he was approached by three suspects. One of the suspects asked him for $5.00 dollars. The victim looked at the suspects and told them he did not have any money and attempted to walk away. The same suspect asking for the money then grabbed his pants pockets searching for money or other property and without warning another suspect in the group punched him in the forehead. All three suspects then fled the area running down Mission Street. The victim refused medical treatment and said the suspects were not able to steal any of his property. Report Number 120960348.

12:42am              30^th street                               Assault
Officer Peregrina and Mcmilton responded to a call regarding an attempted robbery and stabbing. The officers were told while en- route that the victim was being transported to general hospital. Upon arrival, they met with the doctor who said that that the victim had small lacerations on her buttocks and more on her mid back. He also said that she would be able to be released later on during the night. The officers then interviewed the victim who seemed to be extremely uncooperative. She didn’t answer any question except for where the crime occurred. In an effort to gather some more information, they contacted the victim’s cousin, who she called right after the incident. He stated that he got a phone call at around midnight from his cousin, who was screaming. He said that she was calling him to go and pick her up but would not give an exact location, only that it was by a Safeway near Mission and 30^TH Street. The officers contacted Safeway to ask for any surveillance and bagged her clothes, which were still wet with blood.  CSI was called out to collect the victim’s clothing. Report Number 120954777

At 10:00pm a victim and her children arrived at Ingleside station to report threats received via a text. Officers Castillo and Leong interviewed the victim, who only spoke Spanish. Officer Castillo had responded to Leong’s call since he is a department certified Spanish speaker officer. The victim stated that she was at work when she received several text messages, but since she was at work, didn’t bother to read them at the time. Once she arrived home, many hours later, she read her messages. The victim got a number of text messages which stated that she had to pay $20,000 if she wanted her 6 children. It continued to follow up with details of all the children’s schedules and work places, which scared the victim. The children were picked up and they were all fine, and then took them to the police station. The officers interviewed her where she stated that she has no enemies and doesn’t know why anyone would do this. This case is still under investigation.  Report Number 120957367

Officers Chang and Park responded to a call of a battery. When arriving to the victim’s home, they found that she was shaking and crying with abrasions on her left fingers and elbow. The victim stated that she was walking home from school while on the phone with a friend, when she noticed a black male approaching quickly from behind. The victim hung up the phone and put it in her pocket, when the suspect caught up to her from behind. He then reached around and covered her mouth in order to keep her from yelling and then pushed her to the ground. When she fell, she started screaming again and trying to get up to flee before the suspect got down and covered her mouth again, pushing her to the floor once more. After that the suspect fled in an unknown direction and the victim got up and ran towards her house. The victim said that she has never seen anyone like that hanging around the neighborhood and wasn’t sure if she could recognize him again. The officers took images of the injuries and gave her a Marcy’s card and the forms to follow up. The officers advised the victim to contact Ingleside should she wish to follow up with the case.  Officer Kabanuck and Castillo were dispatched to a report of an aggravated assault. Upon arrival they met with the victim who was extremely angry and combative. He said that he heard someone rummaging through his garage outside of his home. He said that he saw two subjects outside going through his neighbors recycling cans. He confronted them, telling them to leave before the suspects replied “What are you gonna do about it cracker?”. He said that one of the subjects made a phone call and a 3^rd person came to help them. He said that after the 3^rd one came that they took off their belts and proceeded to attack him. The victim stated that he got hit in the face by a belt before he grabbed a cane in order to defend himself. He also stated that he punched one of the suspects in the face. He then kept repeating that he hates that police and that they won’t do anything to help him. The victim was given the correct cards and forms before the officers tried to search the area, with negative results. Repot Number 120956955

Arrests:

12:16am               College Ave                             Drunk Driving Arrest
Officers Mccall and Lozano were on duty in a patrol vehicle when they noticed a car driving well above the speed limit. Upon pulling the car over, Officer McCall smelled a strong odor of alcohol coming from the car. The suspect claimed to have had 5 beers, which confirmed his bloodshot and watery eyes. Refusing to take the Field Sobriety test, they proceeded to arrest him and he was then transported to Mission Station for either a breath test or blood draw.  He chose the breath test, which then concluded their results and transported him to county jail for driving under the influence of alcohol. 8:40pm                1000 blk Geneva                    Battery
Officers Morrow and Naval were dispatched to Geneva Ave regarding a fight. Upon arrival the scene, two other units had already responded to the scene. Officer Preston, one of the other officers that arrived, saw the 4 men fighting and ordered them to stop. In order to gain their compliance the officer used is OC spray on one of the men, causing all the men to stop and sit down waiting to be handcuffed. The others officers immediately started washing out the eyes of one of the suspects, who had been sprayed. One of the subjects claimed that he was sitting inside his house when he heard a loud noise coming from outside his home. He walked outside and saw someone, the suspect, behind his car hitting on the tail lamp. Then the subject’s son came out and tried to help get the man away from their car. The main refused to leave and that started a huge verbal argument. Upon hearing the commotion, the final subject came out of the house in order to see what was going on. The three subjects then grabbed the suspect and held him against a wall until the police arrived. The officers proceeded to separate all the members of the party and had medics treat their injuries. The suspect appeared to be under some kind of influence and was taken into custody. The suspect was taken to County Jail, while the rest were given follow up forms. Report Number 120954329

Officer Hurwitz responded to a call regarding stolen property at the Alemany Flea Market. A victim claimed that one of the vendors had a pair of conga drums that belonged to him that were stolen during an auto boost. The victim described the drums in detail with scratches and all. He took the officer to a black bag that had the drums and he claimed that it was his bag with the drums inside of it. Upon going to talk with the seller, he told the officer that he bought them just a month earlier from a flea market in Oakland and paid $80-90 for them. When the officer opened the bag she noticed that they had the exact details that the victim claimed they would have. The seller agreed to give the drums back to their rightful owner and then both parties were dismissed. No arrest or citation was given. Report Number 120763346

Officers Lockett and Kabanuck were dispatched to Bronte to investigate the report of a Robbery. Upon the officers arrival they met with the victim who said she was robbed at the intersection of Putnam and Jarboe. She claimed that she was going to her friend’s house when a black male wearing a black hoody over his head approached her with a handgun in his left hand. He pressed the gun to her stomach and said “give me everything you got”. The victim gave him her purse when the suspect stuck his hands into her pocket and took her phone as well. The victim then noticed there was another man standing next to him while the whole thing was happening. After robbing her they both ran and got into a car and fled southbound. Officers checked the area but found no results. Report Number 120954482

12:10am     Alpha/Tucker               Firearm

At the start of the shift, Officers Bernard, Chew, Barajas and the remaining Ingleside Units were informed that a charcoal Grey Chevy sedan had possibly been involved in a shooting that took place in the Bayview District earlier in the day. With the information given, Officers Bernard, Chew and Barajas were on patrol in the Visitacion Valley area, when they observed a charcoal Grey Chevy sedan with four occupants inside in the area of Teddy and Delta Street. The officers passed the vehicle and ran the license plate on their computer. The vehicle turned and followed the police vehicle for a short period before turning and headed in the opposite direction. The computer inquiry revealed that the vehicle was registered to Hertz-rent-a-car. The officers then decided to turn around and follow the vehicle, when it suddenly took off at an accelerated speed, as if trying to get away from the officers. The officers followed the same route the vehicle was taking and after several turns saw that the same vehicle had collided with two other vehicles. Due to the fact that this vehicle matched the same description of the vehicle involved in the shooting, coupled with the fact that it appeared to be attempting to flee the area, the officers jumped into action and immediately detained the occupants. Officers Cassinelli and Quintero arrived on scene to assist. Officer Cassinelli smelled marijuana coming from inside the vehicle and a search was then conducted. Officer Cassinelli found a plastic pill bottle containing marijuana. Officer Barajas also helped in the search and found a Silver handgun concealed underneath the front passenger seat. The driver, who was on active felony probation, and the front passenger, a known gang member, were placed under arrest and transported to Ingleside Station. The rear passengers were soon after released. The driver and front passenger were subsequently booked for the firearm violation. Report Number 120949756

Officers Hopkins, Uang and Peregoy were on routine patrol in the area of Blythdale and Santos when they observed a Black Nissan with no license plates. The officers pulled over the vehicle and made contact with the driver. The driver advised the officers he had an extended registration sticker allowing him to operate the vehicle. The driver also provided his driver’s license and insurance information. While speaking with the driver, Officer Hopkins and Uang smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. When asked, the driver said he had a couple bags of marijuana. The driver said he had a medical marijuana card, but could not provide the officers with the proper documentation. The officers searched the driver and found two baggies containing marijuana. The officers then searched the vehicle and found the interior littered with Twenty nine Blue vials containing marijuana. They also located a large White container and an additional bag containing marijuana as well as a scale. Based on the officer’s observations, they believed the driver was involved in the sales and transportation of the narcotic. He was immediately placed under arrest, transported to Ingelside Station and booked for the narcotics violation. The marijuana was collected and seized as evidence.  Report Number 120950963

Officers Hauscarriague and Jones responded to a call of a fight involving a male and female on the 100 block of Blythdale Avenue. It was said that the female was in possession of a crowbar and that both of them were entering and exiting a vacant housing unit.  Once the officers arrived, they checked on the vacant unit and saw that the front door was off its hinges and was on fire. In order to contain and prevent the fire from spreading into the unit, Officer Hauscarriague removed the burning door from inside the unit and placed it outside. Officer Ma responded with a fire extinguisher and the flames were put out. The San Francisco Fire Department was called out as a precaution. The officers then searched the vacant unit and found no one inside. It was deemed that the fire was suspicious and an Arson Task Force Investigator was called out to investigate. 8:27pm       800 Blk Visitacion                  Robbery

Officers Gomez and Lockett went to investigate a robbery that just took place on a Muni bus that had stopped on the 800 block of Visitacion Avenue. When they arrived they met with the victim who was bleeding from his hand and left eyebrow. The victim stated he was seated at the rear of the bus with two unknown suspects seated in front of him. When the bus arrived at the bus stop, the two unknown suspects got up from their seats and began to hit him multiple times. While being assaulted, one of the suspects said, “Go back to your country”. The victim stated that he is from West Africa and spoke with a West African accent. The suspects proceeded to take the victims cell phone, wallet and a plastic case from his pockets and then fled from the scene. Medics arrived and treated the victim at the scene. A copy of the recorded robbery was requested from Muni. Report Number 120951773.

Arrests:

5:20pm       3300 Blk Mission                    Theft

Officer Barajas responded to a call of a theft on the 3300 block of Mission Street. When he arrived, he met with the store’s loss prevention officer, who had a suspect in custody for stealing. The loss prevention officer observed the suspect when she entered the store and made her way through the aisles. The suspect then entered the toiletry aisle and selected ten assorted items from the shelf and placed them inside her shoulder bag. The suspect walked out the store and made no effort to pay for the items. The loss prevention officer followed her outside and identified himself and placed her in custody. Officer Barajas tried to identify the suspect, but she had no pictured identification on her person. Officer Barajas then transported the suspect to Ingleside Station where he positively identified her through a previous arrest mug shot. Officer Barajas also found out that the suspect had been arrested numerous times before for the same thing. The suspect was booked for the theft and the items were returned back to the store. Officers Gabriel and Apodaca went to a call regarding a person with a gun on the 5500 block of Mission Street. They met with the victim who told them that he went to the area of Crescent and Nevada to meet up with a former friend. The victim said that the day before, he noticed that his bicycle frame had been stolen and immediately believed his former friend was responsible for taking it. The victim contacted the former friend and tried to get his property back. Using a ruse, the victim told the former friend he would give him One hundred dollars if he returned his bicycle frame. The former friend accepted the deal and they agreed to meet at the Farmer’s Market located near Crescent and Nevada Avenue at 1:00am in the morning. When they finally met, the victim observed the former friend carrying the bicycle frame in his left hand, while his right hand was inside the front pouch pocket of his hooded sweatshirt. The victim then told the suspect that he didn’t have the money. The suspect became enraged and yelled out to an unknown subject that was sitting in the passenger seat of his car and said the victim didn’t have the money. This unknown passenger then told the suspect to shoot the victim. . The suspect attempted to pull out a handgun from the front pocket of his hoodie, when the gun appeared to have been caught in the clothing. The victim retreated as the suspect was able to get the gun out of his pocket and threatened to shoot the victim. The victim left the scene unharmed and called for the police once he got back to his residence. Report Number 120947368.

Police Service Aid Cato was on station duty at Ingleside Station when a victim walked in wanting to report a robbery. The victim stated he was standing at Geneva and Mission with an acquaintance that he knows from the area. The victim said he only knows this suspect from having seen him around the neighborhood but did not know his name or address. They were both hanging out drinking beers while they stood on the corner. A short time later, three unknown suspects approached the victim and shoved him to the ground and began to punch him repeatedly. The victim’s acquaintance then robbed him of his cell phone and wallet containing $300.00 dollars that he withdrew from an ATM machine earlier in the day. All four suspects then ran in an unknown direction to flee the scene. The victim had a couple scratches as a result of the altercation and refused any medical treatment. Report Number 120948980.

Arrests:

1:37pm       100 Blk Ripley              Narcotics

Officers Campos and Burke received information regarding a possible Marijuana grow house located on the 100 block of Ripley Street. A search warrant was then obtained for the residence and executed by Officers Campos, Burke, Johnson, Yuen,  Archilla, Sgt Alvarez, Sgt Salvador as well as Deputies Siegel and Alvarez from the U.S Marshals Task Force.  Once they arrived, the officers announced their presence as police officers and that they were serving a search warrant. With no response from anyone inside the officers gave out the notice yet again. Before ramming the front door in, Officer Yuen tried the front door knob and found it to be unlocked. All the officers mentioned above made entry into the residence without damaging the property. Once inside, the officers encountered the resident/suspect standing at the top of the staircase. He was immediately detained and the rest of the residence was cleared with no further suspects found inside. The officers searched the residence and officer Burke found a Marijuana grow at the rear of the residence consisting of several Marijuana plants with plywood covering the windows, venting machines and the electricity being bypassed to run the illegal operation. Officer Elmore and his canine companion, (K-9) Officer Mac, arrived and conducted a narcotics search of the residence. Officer Mac hit on several locations inside a downstairs bedroom which was being searched by Sgt Lozada. The sergeant found Cocaine powder, Methamphetamine, digital scale and a large amount of money. All the narcotics and money was seized and the suspect transported to Ingleside Station where he was booked. The San Francisco Fire Department was called out where Battalion Chief Hale deemed the Marijuana grow a potential for a fire hazard and shut down all the electricity leading to the room. 1:51pm       Persia/Athens                Narcotics

Officers Hart, Phillips and San Francisco District Attorney Investigators McKenzie and Louie responded to Persia and Athens Street regarding a report of a suspicious person selling marijuana. The anonymous reportee provided a suspect description as well as the Red suitcase he was carrying where he had the drugs stashed. The officers and investigators arrived and found the suspect matching the description standing alone at the mentioned intersection. Officer Hart approached the suspect and immediately smelled the odor of marijuana coming from his direction. Officer Hart asked the suspect where the marijuana was and the suspect replied that it was inside his Red duffel bag. Officer Hart searched the duffel bag and in fact located the marijuana inside. Officer Hart seized the drugs and transported the suspect to Ingleside Station where he was identified, cited and released with a future court date promising to appear. Report Number 120943883.

5:05pm       200 Blk Judson             Narcotics

Officer Hurwitz was on routine patrol when she observed a suspect walking on the 200 block of Judson Avenue. Officer Hurwitz recognized the suspect from prior police contacts and knew he was on parole and had a couple outstanding warrants for his arrest. Fearing that the suspect might flee, Officer Hurwitz thought ahead and immediately requested for an additional unit. Officer Hurwitz stopped and talked with the suspect, not yet giving away that she knew he was wanted. Once Officers Altamirano and Thompson arrived, they took him into custody without further incident. The suspect gave Officer Hurwitz  a false name, but  she already knew his true identity. Officer Hurwitz searched the suspect and found a clear plastic baggie containing Methamphetamine inside his left sock. They also found a set of car keys, which had been shaved down. Officer Hurwitz knew that this is a method commonly used by criminals to get into various vehicles to steal the contents and in many cases the vehicles itself. The suspect was transported to Ingleside Station where he was ultimately booked on the outstanding warrants, narcotics and burglary tools. Report Number 120944596.

1:31am       3300 blk Mission          Battery
Officer Ferronato and Anderson responded to a possible fight at a parking lot. When they arrived on scene they did not notice a fight; however, they were flagged down by the victim. Anderson interviewed the victim and he pointed to the direction where the suspects fled. Officers were able to determine the victim was intoxicated at the time as he had the odor of an alcoholic beverage and bloodshot eyes. The victim then stated that he bought some soda inside Safeway, as he was leaving he was approached by 4 unknown males. The four males asked the victim if he had any beer, the victim replied “no” then he was punched by the suspect on the right side of his mouth. The victim became unconscious for a short while as a result of his head hitting the floor. While on the floor,  the suspects were hitting the back of his head multiple times. An ambulance was called to transport the victim to General Hospital where his injuries were treated.

3:00pm       800 blk Moscow            Battery
Officer Hornstein responded to a call regarding a battery. When he arrived he was unable to locate the victim of the battery. Dispatcher then contacted the victim again who stated he was on the corner of Naples and France with the police. Officer Hornstein then transported the victim and his girlfriend in order to try and locate the suspects with negative results. The victim then stated as they were walking through the park when  they were approached by four suspects. The suspects said the victim’s girlfriend “was pretty” and said they “wanted her” and that the victim should leave. The victim responded with “get lost” and the suspects then began to punch him in the face and  as the victim fell on the ground the suspect kicked him in the head. Once the victim was treated by the ambulance he was released to his uncle and went home.

7:50pm       3200 Blk San Bruno     Robbery

Officers Quintero and Ocreto responded to a call of a robbery that occurred on the 3200 block of San Bruno Avenue. While responding to the call, the officers noticed two individuals that matched the suspect description that was given by dispatch, walking away from the robbery scene. The officers quickly reacted and detained the two subjects. While standing on the sidewalk, they noticed a multicolored purse lying underneath a parked car several feet away. Officer Fung, a Cantonese speaking officer, also responded and spoke with the victim. She said she had just exited the Muni bus at San Bruno and Mansell. She was followed off the bus by a group of four to six subjects who confronted her on the 3200 block of San Bruno Avenue. One male and one female suspect from the group approached her and began checking her jacket pockets. She felt very afraid of the group and ran across the street in an effort to try and get away. The same male and female suspects followed her and shoved her , causing her to fall to the ground. The suspects then reached into her pockets again and took her property. The group then ran away from the scene. Two witnesses were inside their residence when they heard the victim yelling for help. They looked outside and saw the group running away. They then went outside to help the victim. The victim and the two witnesses were taken to view the two subjects detained and stated that they were part of the group, but were not the ones who had robbed the victim. The Two subjects were then transported to Ingleside Station where they were interviewed and subsequently released. The victim sustained multiple scrapes to her right knee, right elbow and hand as a result of the attack. Repot Number 120947017.

Arrests:

10:55am     3300 Blk mission           Theft
Officer Morgante responded to the Safeway on Mission Street on a report of a shoplifting. When he arrived he spoke with the loss prevention agent who had detained the suspect for shoplifting. The Prevention agent said that he had been working when he saw a man come in who is known to be a chronic shoplifter. He saw him take 2 bottles of wine from the shelf and try to conceal them in his jacket. He then saw him trying to leave the store when he approached and detained the suspect. When officer Morgante arrived he took custody of the suspect and found out that he has stay away orders from 2 Safeways on Market, and also found out that he has numerous counts of shoplifting on his record already. Officer Morgante then transported the suspect to Ingleside and then transferred to San Francisco General Hospital for medical problems he had upon arriving at Ingleside. He was then booked at CJ-1 after being released from the hospital. Report Number 120940152

12:45pm     3300 Blk Mission          Theft

Officer Fung went to investigate a theft at the Safeway Supermarket located on the 3300 block of Mission Street. He met with the loss prevention officer who observed the suspect place two pies, two turkeys and two sandwiches into the shopping cart he had in his possession. The loss prevention officer kept an eye on the suspect as he made his way through the store and ultimately walked right out the store without paying for the mentioned items. The loss prevention officer went after the suspect and stopped him in the parking lot before he could get away and detained him. Officer Fung conducted a computer inquiry on the suspect and subsequently cited him for the theft and released him from the scene. The stolen food items were returned back to Safeway. 6:26pm       Cambridge/Pioche        Warrant

Officers Shugars and Paras responded to the area of Persia and Sunnydale Avenue to search for a White, 4 door, BMW that had gotten away from Sgt Batchelder and Officer Moriyama moments earlier. Sgt Batchelder and Officer Moriyama attempted to conduct a traffic stop on this vehicle when it suddenly took off on the officers at a high rate of speed and were unable to get a good look at the occupants inside. Sgt Batchelder and Officer Moriyama advised dispatch of the failure to yield and broadcasted the vehicle description and license plate. While driving in the area, Officer Shugars and Paras spotted the same vehicle as it was driving eastbound Persia from Sunnydale Avenue. The officers followed the vehicle when it pulled into a driveway on the unit block of Dublin Street. The two occupants attempted to exit the vehicle but were immediately detained by the officers. A computer check on the driver revealed an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The passenger was clear and was released from the scene. The driver was transported to Ingleside Station and booked on the warrant. Report Number 120941683

Officers Ferretti, Rainsford and Gianni responded to a call regarding a robbery. Upon arrival they spoke with the victim who’s primary language was Spanish, so they had to contact a translator. Officer Trujillo, a certified Spanish speaking translator, came to assist with translation. The victim stated that she was taking the Muni bus to a job interview when she realized she was early. She then pulled out her phone and decided to take a walk, when an unknown black male walked towards her and pulled out a black and silver gun. The victim said that the suspect demanded she hand over her phone, and after taking it, ran north bound on Coleridge. She said that she saw the man running up the street when she saw him stop and look at her phone, before throwing it into the street, and then getting into an unknown vehicle. The victim was then able to flag down a passerby and used her cell phone to call the police. They then recovered her phone and found no damage to it. The officers could not find any surveillance cameras in the area. Report Number 120939939

Officers Chang and Park responded to a call of a strong armed robbery. The victim had abrasions on her knees and elbows and was complaining of pain to her legs. The victim stated that she was returning home from purchasing a new iPhone. When she got off the light rail Muni train at the elevated bus stop at bayshore and tunnel, she walked over to the 7-11, upon buying what she needed and leaving, two black male juveniles ran up from behind her. The suspects grabbed the backpack she had on her back, pushed her onto the ground, and reached into her pockets and snatched her iPhone. The victim wanted to give chase but she said that she was in too much pain to get up. The officers tried to use the find my phone software but were unsuccessful. A witness at the bus stop stated that she saw the two young males run past her and would be willing to cooperate with an inspector to follow up with the robbery. Report Number 120941564

7:35pm       1000 Blk San Jose                  Robbery
Officer Hom responded to a call to investigate a robbery that had occurred on a Muni Platform. Upon the officer’s arrival, they found that the suspect had already left the area and several units searched the area with negative results. Hom then met with the victim who stated that he had boarded a train going to his home when he sat in the back of the last car, which he stated was nearly empty. The victim said that he was playing a game on his iPhone when an unknown person grabbed the phone out of his hands as he was playing and ran towards the exit door. He said that he then grabbed the suspect to try and recover the phone when the suspect started punching the victim with a closed right fist until he would let go of him. As the suspect was exiting the train at the stop, the victim grabbed a hold of the suspect’s jacket and was then punched several more times before the suspect slipped out of the jacket, leaving it in the victim’s hands. Medics then responded and treated the victim for his wounds.  The officers took the jacket as evidence in an attempt to get any DNA off of it. Muni was also contacted to get any video evidence that they might have. No video has yet to be recovered. Report Number 120941780
