While conducting the search the officers found an open door to the playground building.   The officers searched the building and found the suspect hiding inside. Other Officers at the scene located witnesses who advised that they were at home when they observed a male enter a parked vehicle after breaking a window and begin rummaging through it.  The witnesses then called the police.  The suspect was positively identified as the male that had entered the car by the witnesses.  Photos of the scene and the damage to the vehicle were taken and booked as evidence.  The suspect was arrested, transported and booked at Ingleside station for the burglary.  Report number 120762940. Serious Incidents:

5:15pm       Unit Blk Santos            Burglary
Officer Peregoy and several other Ingleside officers were dispatched to an attempted burglary.  They met with the victim who told them that she was upstairs in her apartment when she heard a loud pounding noise.  The victim began to yell at whoever was attempting to enter the premise and that made them flee the area. The victim said the suspect did not enter her apartment and that there was nothing missing. Officers observed a broken window and damage to the sheetrock to the unit next door.  The adjoining wall to the unit had a hold in dry wall as if someone had attempted to break into the victim’s unit by creating a hole in the wall in the next door apartment.  Officers took pictures of the scene and damaged wall and window for evidence.  Report number 120764093

9:15pm       Laidley/Roanoke          Robbery
Officers Benavidez and Peregrina responded to a robbery incident.  They met with the victim who said she was walking on Laidley when two males approached her from behind.  The victim turned around and one of the suspects pointed a gun at her and told her to give them her debit card and the pin number.  The victim complied but told the suspects that her debit card was not working.  The suspect told her he was going to “shoot her” if the car did not work.  One of the suspects stayed with the victim while the other suspect left the area.  He returned quickly and told the victim that the debit card did not work.  The victim pleaded with them to take her purse and leave her alone.  The suspects took the purse and told the victim that they weren’t going to “shoot her anyway.”  The suspects fled the area.  The victim said she would be able to recognize them if she saw them again.  Officers searched the surrounding area for the suspects but were unable to locate them.  Report number 120764811
