10:24pm Santos/Brookdale Traffic
Officers Seavey and Padilla were on patrol when they observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Santos. They later effected a traffic stop and as they approached the vehicle noticed a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. The suspects were removed from the vehicle. A search of the passenger located a small plastic baggie containing a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana. The suspects were cited and released at the instruction of Sgt. Chan. Serious Incidents:
7:30pm 700 Blk Monterey Robbery
Officers Chan and Kerlegan responded to the assist the victim of a robbery. The victim advised them that she was out in front of her home smoking a cigarette and talking on her cellular phone when two females approached her, pepper sprayed her in the face and fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim complained of stinging to her facial area and an ambulance was called to medical clear her. She told the officers she did not know the suspects but could identify them if she saw them again. The victim suffered no financial loss or other injury. Officers searched the area unsuccessfully for the two suspects. Report Number 120849178
