Arrests:

7:45pm      700 Blk Moscow        DUI
Officers Habib and Pereira were dispatched to a vehicle accident.  They made contact with a male at the scene who displayed symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol.  The suspect was being treated by an ambulance but had no visible injuries or complaint of pain.  The officers noticed the suspect had blood shot eyes, his speech was slurred and he had a strong smell of alcohol on his breath.  The suspect told the officers he did not know what had happened and admitting he was driving the vehicle and just trying to get home.  The officers requested the suspect submit to field sobriety tests and he refused.  The officers observed the suspect to be unsteady on his feet and stumbling.

The officers met with the victim of the damaged vehicle which the suspect had hit and he told them that he heard a large “bang”, looked out of his window and noticed damage to his vehicle.  He then noticed the male who was driving the vehicle who hit his car exit the vehicle stumbling on his feet.  The witnessed told the officers he wished to sign a citizen’s arrest against the suspect who he positively identified as the male who had hit his car. 

The officers transported the suspect to Mission Station where he was unable to complete a breath test.  The officers then requested a phlebotomist respond to Mission Station to administer a blood draw.  At the instruction of Sgt. Riskin the suspect was booked for driving under the influence.  A record check revealed the suspect was driving on a suspended license and had an active warrant.  The suspect was booked for these charges as well.  Report Number 110783893

01:10am    5800 Blk Mission       Theft
Officer Pai responded to the call of a theft.  He met with the victim who stated he had been advised by one of the tenants that he observed a hose connected to one of their water valves in the car port.  The victim said that his last water bill was hundreds of dollars in excess and that the hose attached did not belong to his building.  The officer took pictures of the scene which he booked into evidence at Ingleside station.  The victim was unable to provide any further information and was provided with follow up information.  Report Number 110781449

05:35am    500 Blk Lisbon           Hot Prowl
Sgt. Miller and various other Ingleside units responded to a burglary-hot prowl which had just occurred.  The victim advised he was sleeping downstairs when his dog began barking.  The victim opened the door which leads into his basement area and noticed a suspect running out of the basement.  He then noticed various items were missing and a bicycle had been left which did not belong to him.  The victim said he noticed his garage door opener was on the floor which he stated was in his truck and believed this is how the suspect entered the premises.  The officers could find no other sign of forced entry and the victim stated he could not recognize the suspect if he saw him again.  The officers transported the bicycle to Ingleside station and contact SFPD Crime Scene Investigations unit who stated they would respond to process the bicycle for any evidence.  The officers took pictures of the scene and the bicycle and booked them into evidence.  Report Number 110781201

07:15am    Unit Blk Brookdale    Hot Prowl
Officers Muro and Larocca responded to assist other Ingleside units on a possible burglary in progress.  Upon arrival they spoke with the victim who stated she was upstairs sleeping when she heard and unknown suspect open her bedroom door.  Victim got up and grabbed her cellular phone and the suspect said, “Don’t call nobody.”  The suspect then grabbed her cellular phone, threw it across the room and threw her back onto her bed.  The victim said she began screaming for another tenant who was in another room and the suspect then became agitated, ran back down the stairs and exited the home through the rear door.  The victim stated that she did not believe anything was missing from the home and could recognize the suspect if she saw him again. 

The officers could find no sign of forced entry and determined that an upstairs window which was open was how the suspect entered the premises.  The officers contact SFPD Crime Scene Investigations Unit who advised they would be responding to process the scene.  Report Number 110781267

10:15am    Unit Blk Leo               Dist. The Peace
Officer Araujo was on station duty when a victim came to report a disturbance.  She told the officer that she was picking up her aunt and was parked in front of the home when a known suspect who they have had encounters with in the past came up to the car, started banging on it and yelling, “You can’t park here.”  There was no physical contact made but the victim stated she wanted the incident documented because she believes the suspect might be mentally unstable.  The officers later responded to the address in an attempt to make an assessment of the suspect but there was no answer to the door.  Report Number 110778612

10:35am    Mission/30th              Battery
Officer Morgante was dispatched to the call of a battery on a MUNI bus.  Victim advised that he was riding on the bus when an unknown suspect came up to him and hit him on top of his head with his hand.  Victim was not injured and refused medical assistance.  Neither he nor the bus driver said they would be able to identify the victim.  He was provided with follow up information and Officer Morgante ordered a copy of the surveillance camera video from MUNI dispatch.  Report Number 110781922

2:00pm      200 Blk Murray           Theft
A victim responded to Ingleside station and told PSA Cato he parked and secured his vehicle and when he returned found a window smashed and various items missing.  He was unable to provide the PSA with any further information and wanted the incident documented for insurance purposes.  PSA Cato processed the vehicle for any fingerprint evidence with negative results.  Report Number110783069
