A witness called police to report a very intoxicated woman was trying to get into a nearby parked car. Ingleside officers Chan and Washington arrived and found the woman. She admitted to drinking and could barely stand. A records check revealed several outstanding felony warrants for her arrest. She was taken into custody and transported to Ingleside Station for booking. Report number: 170541073

An argument at a family party between and man and a woman resulted in one of the combatants being pushed to the ground while being threatened with a knife. The victim agreed to file a citizen’s arrest form against the aggressor.  The aggressor told Ingleside officers Cagney and Wong that he went into the kitchen to complain about the noise and that he was unable to use the kitchen because of the party.  The aggressor was cited for battery and brandishing a knife and released. 7:00am                       1500 blk Guerrero St                Hot Prowl Burglary
A man leaving his garage with his dog and bicycle was suddenly confronted by a suspect. The suspect demanded the homeowner’s bicycle. The homeowner refused and a struggle ensued over the bicycle. During the struggle the suspect started punching the suspect in the face. The victim started yelling for help. The suspect began hitting the victim with a fire extinguisher, which had been stolen from St. Luke’s Hospital. Upon hearing the screams, a neighbor came outside and witnessed the assault.  He called the police.
The suspect took off on the stolen bicycle towards Dolores Street. Ingleside officers Taft and Mullins arrived to interview the victim, the witness, and called for medical assistance. Meanwhile Ingleside officers Kerlegan and Rodriguez found the suspect on Dolores and Duncan Streets and placed him custody. He was charged with aggravated assault and burglary and taken to San Francisco General for treatment of his injuries before being transported to jail. Report number: 170537072

A witness saw a man running around erratically, running into the street and then laying down in the street.  She also saw the subject run directly into a wall.  Concerned for the man’s safety, the witness called the police. Ingleside officers Tiffer, Watts, and Hopkins arrived and found the suspect on the sidewalk. He complied with the officers commands to sit down on the steps of a nearby home. He denied being under the influence of any drugs but had difficulty sitting still and appeared to be sweating profusely. He gave officers permission to search his backpack. Inside they found several packets of methamphetamine and a scale for weighing the substance. He was arrested for possession of methamphetamine for sale and transported to Ingleside Station for booking. Report number: 170537470

A man sitting at home watching TV in his bedroom opened the bedroom door to see a strange man standing in the hallway. He asked the stranger what he was doing in the home and the man responded that he was sent their by an unknown person. The homeowner told the man to sit in a chair and he complied. Then the homeowner found some electrical cord and tied the suspect up before calling police. Ingleside officers Ocreto and Leung arrived. The homeowner signed a citizen’s arrest form and the suspect was arrested for trespassing. Report number: 17053773

A call of a man with a knife sent Ingleside officers Suguitan and Hornstein to investigate. When they arrived they found a man talking to himself and making exaggerated movements. Both officers exited their patrol car and took out a non-lethal weapon. The officers asked the suspect to sit down and he complied while being placed in custody. He had a folding knife in his front pants pocket. A records check revealed an outstanding no bail warrant for his arrest. Due to the nature of his bizarre behavior, the officers requested an ambulance to take the suspect to San Francisco General for evaluation. Report number: 170535543

A woman walking home from the bus stop noticed two men walking in front of her who kept turning around to look at her. She told Ingleside officers Salazar and Trumpp the two men suddenly stopped, turned around, and ran towards her. One attempted to grab her purse but the victim hung on tightly and was thrown to the ground. One of the suspects suddenly pulled out a handgun and pointed it at her. Fearing for her life she surrendered her purse and the suspects fled Westbound on Benton. The loss was money and several documents. Medical help was summoned and the victim was treated for her injuries at the scene. Report number: #170534498

Another woman walking home late at night noticed a white car slowly passing her. She was only a few houses away from her home when two men suddenly walked up behind her. One of the suspects had a gun. She told Ingleside officers Mroz, Young and Wong that the suspects demanded her cell phone. She told them she didn’t have a cellphone. The suspects then demanded her backpack, which the victim surrendered. Inside the backpack were earrings, a watch, identification, and a wallet containing cash. The victim asked the suspects for the identification in the wallet and they agreed to give it back to her after removing the cash. The victim told the officers that the backpack also contained a cell phone, which was later tracked to the 900 block of Ellsworth Street. Report number: 170534482

Ingleside officers Ortega, Salazar, and Trumpp were dispatched to San Francisco General Hospital regarding a gunshot victim. When they arrived they found a man being treated for wound to his leg. He told the officers that he was among a crowd of around 100 people watching fireworks in the street when suddenly the crowd started running away. He said he went back to his home and that was when he noticed he was shot in the leg. He had his cousin drive him to the hospital for treatment. Report number: 170536739

A simmering custody case and chance encounter all led two subjects into a physical confrontation.  After one scratched the other in the face, shoving ensued until one party called the police.  Each subject signed a citizen’s arrest against each other so both were cited for battery by officers Morrow and Tiffer.  After talking with both parties, the officers suggested they quickly get the custody issues settled in court to prevent future unnecessary confrontations.  Report number: 170532367

A Safeway employee was chased and attacked by two men. The victim told officers Dilag and Hermosura that he was working at the front of the store when two men approached him and asked his identity. The employee ignored the request and went into the store with the suspects pursuing him. The suspects, along with two women accomplices, caught up with the victim in an aisle and punched him several times in the head. The suspect then left the store in a Ford Exhibition which was quickly stopped by Ingleside officers Trumpp and Salazar. The victim refused to press charges against the suspects and he was taken to San Francisco General for treatment. Report number: 170531626

Ingleside officers Hornstein and Suguitan were dispatched to call of a man with a gun. When they arrived they found the suspect sitting inside a car. The officers removed the suspect and searched the car finding a remote control that could easily be mistaken as a small gun. The officers talked to the victims who said the suspect made disparaging remarks about the woman while at the nearby tennis courts. When the male victim objected the suspect revealed what the victims believed was a gun. The victims ran away and the suspect escaped only to be apprehended by Hornstein and Suguitan. The victims signed a citizen’s arrest form but later decided he didn’t want to pursue charges. The suspect was released at the scene. Report number: 170533268

A violent dispute involving an adult and a juvenile prompted dispatch to send Ingleside officer Scott and several other units to investigate. The victim, the adult, told dispatch that the juvenile had threatened her with a knife and a sword. Upon arrival, the officers, found the juvenile hiding on a roof in possession of both weapons. He was taken to Ingleside Station and booked for terrorist threats. Report number: 170530747

11:55pm                      900 blk Geneva Ave                        Resisting Arrest
Ingleside officer Fegan was dispatched to a report of two adults, a man and woman, involved in a loud argument. When he arrived on scene he found a woman in the street walking and yelling threats at a man walking on the sidewalk. Officer Fegan exited his patrol car and told the woman to stop and get back on the sidewalk. When he attempted to contact the man involved, he fled from the officer.  Officer Fegan called for backup and began chasing the suspect. The chase went for several blocks through the neighborhood finally ending with the help of Ingleside officers Stoffel and Colcough near Paris and Amazon Streets. He was placed in custody and charged with resisting arrest. The woman left the scene during the chase and has not been found.  Report number: 170531529

A jewelry store owner buzzed in a customer who wanted to resize his ring. While talking with the customer the store owner noticed the customer had left the front gate ajar. Before he could react to close the gate an accomplice entered the store brandishing a handgun. The suspects ordered the owner and his employee to the back room while both men broke display cases and grabbed jewelry before escaping. Ingleside officers Peralta and Leung responded and interviewed other store owners in the area. They were also able to  review and retrieve video footage of the suspects before and after the robbery. Safeway store employees became suspicious when they noticed two men and four women enter the store after they quickly began grabbing several items off the shelves. The suspects attempted to leave the store with the items without paying for them.  The employees blocked the exits and told the thieves to return the items or pay for them. The suspects refused and one tossed a plastic shopping basket at one of the employees while another one punched another employee. All the suspects escaped but not before store employees snapped several cell phone pictures of the thieves. Ingleside officer Ortega responded, viewed the pictures, and broadcast a description of the suspects. Report number: 170531494

Ingleside officers Lozano and McCall were on routine patrol when they spotted a late model Jeep roll through a stop sign. The officers ran the plate on the Jeep as they followed it through the neighborhood. Dispatch reported the Jeep was stolen two days before from a Sacramento address. Lozano and McCall radioed for backup and Ingleside officers George, Cagney, Cassinelli, Wise, and Quinlan arrived soon thereafter. Lozano and Mc Call activated their emergency lights and siren and the Jeep driver quickly pulled over. The driver did not give any explanation as to why he was driving a stolen vehicle. He was placed in custody and taken to Ingleside Station for booking. His two passengers were released at the scene. The vehicle owner was notified of the Jeep’s recovery. Report number: 170525760

8:53am                             Holly Park & Highland              Warrant Arrest
San Francisco Park and Recreation Department employees called police to report two people, a man and a woman, sitting in the park eating out of milk crate. Ingleside officers Leung and Peralto went to the park and found nothing illegal although found the situation unsanitary. The woman told the officers that she had an outstanding warrant for her arrest on narcotics charges out of San Mateo. She was arrested on the warrant and transported to Ingleside Station for booking. An unknown issue led to one man standing in front of the home of another yelling obscenities and brandishing a crowbar. The victim told Ingleside officers Calupad and Anton-Buzzard that the suspect threatened to “smash me over the head with the crowbar”. He signed a citizen’s arrest form and the suspect was arrested for terrorist threats. Report number: 170527374

A road rage incident ended with the victim going to the hospital for treatment. The victim told Ingleside officers Gomez and Elliston that he was driving on Athens Street when he inadvertently cut off the suspect driving another vehicle. The victim kept driving and stopped for a signal at Geneva and Naples. He said the suspect got out of his car and approached his vehicle. The victim also exited his car and the two started arguing. Soon thereafter, the suspect punched the victim in the face resulting in the victim falling to the ground and losing consciousness for several minutes. The suspect then got back into his car and drove away South on Naples Street. The victim was transported to San Francisco General and treated for cuts and bruises. Report number: 170526150

A man, protecting his niece from the verbal assault of a stranger, was attacked. The victim told Ingleside officer Tom he was with his niece when an unknown suspect started verbally abusing her. The victim confronted the suspect and both began arguing with each other. They finally separated and the victim walked back to his car with his niece.  Before he could enter the vehicle, the suspect returned and pummeled him with several punches. Officer Tom called for medical assistance and the victim was transported to San Francisco General for treatment and evaluation. Report number: 170530480

A woman waiting for the bus at San Jose and Geneva lost her purse to a thief. The victim told Ingleside officers McCall and Lozano she was sitting in the bus shelter when an unknown man grabbed her purse. The victim tried to hold on but he thief was too strong and he took her purse and fled Eastbound on Geneva towards Mission. The loss was a wallet, house keys, and other valuables. A woman called police after seeing a former roommate crawl through a window into her apartment. She told dispatch that she had a civil restraining order against the trespasser that has not yet been served. Ingleside officers Curry, Gomez, Thompson, Elliston, and Lim arrived on scene and served the court restraining order on the suspect. The victim also signed a citizen’s arrest form for trespassing and the suspect was cited and released at the scene. Report number: 170523457

11:50am                           5200 blk Diamond Heights Blvd.          Burglary
A store manager called police after observing a woman customer pushing a shopping cart through the store. The customer loaded up the cart with chips, soda, laundry detergent, light bulbs, potato salad, chicken wings, tequila, vodka, and wind. The customer then pushed the cart out of the store where the manager confronted her and asked her to return to the store and pay for the items. Instead of complying with the request she told him to “mind his own business”, and pushed the cart to a parked car, unloading the groceries into the trunk. Ingleside officers Williams and Peralta arrived and talked to the woman suspect and another man who was also in the car. A records check revealed the male occupant was on probation for carrying a concealed weapon. The woman shopper had an outstanding warrant for burglary out of San Mateo County. She was arrested for the warrant and theft then transferred to Ingleside Station for booking. Report number: 170523560

Ingleside officers Vong and Leong were dispatched to the Visitacion Valley Library for the arrest of battery suspect. A library employee was assaulted the previous day by a customer who left the facility before police arrived. When Vong and Leong arrived the suspect was being detained by two San Francisco Building and Grounds officers. Vong and Leong checked the suspect’s record and found he had an outstanding $35,000 warrant from the Tulare County Sheriff. The suspect was arrested for the warrant and the citizen’s arrest for the previous day’s battery. Report number: 170523601

A disabled man, unable to walk without assistance, was startled by a group of four burglars who broke into his home. One of the suspects was armed with a hand gun. The victim told Ingleside officers Williams and Johnson that the suspects took a laptop, cell phone, television, jewelry, and a rifle before leaving his home. Neighbors saw the suspects running away with the loot. One of the neighbors said a suspect told her to “go back into your home if you don’t want any trouble”. Williams and Johnson searched the surrounding area for evidence and found a ladder used by the suspects to scale a wall and enter the backyard of the burglarized home. Report number: 170523770

Ingleside officers Kikuchi and Wells were dispatched to San Francisco General Hospital to interview a gunshot victim. The man told the officers that he was standing at the rear of his home when he heard gunshots behind him. The victim ran home and, when he got inside, he found a wound to his left foot. His mother drove him to the hospital where his wound was treated. Ingleside officers Fogarty and Zhao traveled to the crime scene searching for evidence but didn’t find any.
