Arrests:12:43pm 5000 Blk. Mission NarcoticsA search warrant was served on a residence in the 5000 block of Mission by Ingleside Officers Archilla, Lee, Barajas, Lustenberger, Jensen, and Sgt. Lopez. Inside the officers found a woman who had been arrested before for narcotics sale along with her male companion. A search of the male suspect turned up a significant quantity of methamphetamine and a pipe to smoke the substance. A search of the room turned up more methamphetamine packaged for sale. The male suspect was arrested and taken to Ingleside Station for booking. The woman was released at the scene. Serious Incidents:3:00am Mission/30th Street Robbery w/ForceA fake Uber driver and his accomplice robbed a fare of a substantial amount of money. The victim told Ingleside Officers Wong and Young that he was at 30th and Mission looking for a place to eat when a white sedan with two men inside pulled up and said they were Uber drivers and take him to his destination. But instead of the destination, they took him to a gas station at Bayshore and Geneva and punched him several times before removing $300 from his pockets and driving away. Mangels Hot Prowl BurglaryA man parked and locked his Mercedes in front of his home and used his garage door to enter his home. He told Ingleside Officers Marshall and Foltz that he went to the garage hours later and saw the door open. He also observed one door of the Mercedes was also open. He found numerous items missing from this garage and his garage door opener missing from his Mercedes. Arrests:12:50am 2400 Blk. Bayshore D.U.IA tow truck driver, stopped at a red light, heard a crash and felt a bump from behind. He exited his truck and saw the driver of an older Toyota outside her vehicle and the tow truck driver asked if she was okay. Instead, the woman got back in her car and sped off southbound on Bayshore where she veered off the road and collided with a pole. Ingleside Officers Mroz and Sherry arrived on scene and assessed the situation along with medics. The woman driver was unable to walk without help from the medics. She had a strong odor of alcohol on her breath and inside the car was an almost empty bottle of Hennessy. She refused a roadside sobriety test and a breath alcohol test. The officers obtained a warrant and she was transported to Mission Station where a phlebotomist took blood samples for intoxication analysis. She was then transported to the county jail and eventually booked for DUI. Report number: 170370941Serious Incidents:10:27am 4600 Blk. Mission RobberyIngleside Officers Chang and Tiffer were dispatched to a bank to investigate a report of a robbery. The officers interviewed a teller, bank officials, and security personnel who said a short time before a man walked up to a teller and demanded cash, while showing a robbery note. After getting the money he ran out the door with security personnel in pursuit. The chase went several blocks before the security guards abandoned the pursuit and returned to the bank. Report number: 1703715633:28pm 600 Blk Monterey Blvd. RobberyA store manager called police to report an armed robbery. The manager told Ingleside Officers Hornstein and Zubko that a man, who previously had stolen alcohol from the store, walked in and went directly to the wine section. The manager went up to him and asked if he needed any help. Instead of answering, the man grabbed several bottles of wine and started walking past the registers and out of the store. However, other store personnel blocked his escape. The man then took out a knife and threatened the store employees who parted and let the robber escape. But he didn’t make a clean getaway. While running through the parking lot, the robber dropped just about all the stolen bottles. All of them broke and the ones that didn’t were recovered. Report number: 1703723957:40pm John F. Shelley & Cambridge RobberyA couple walking their dogs in McLaren Park were suddenly confronted by a robber. The victim told Ingleside Officers Ahern and Dito that they were returning to their parked car when they spotted an unknown man looking into the windows of their vehicle. When they approached the man he took out a knife and demanded money and hit the male victim in the face with a closed fist knocking him to the ground. He then kicked the victim in the back and then took the victim’s MP3 player. The suspect then escaped and the victim refused medical attention. Arrests:3:15am Unit Blk. Bernal Heights Stolen VehicleIngleside Officers Young and Sherry were on routine patrol when the spotted an older Mitsubishi near the entrance to Bernal Heights Park with the windows fogged up. Young and Sherry ran the plates on the vehicle and dispatch notified the officers the car was reported stolen from a San Francisco address. The officers turned on their emergency lights and used the patrol vehicle’s PA system to order the occupants out of the vehicle. After a short time, a man and woman exited the car and were placed into custody. Both were transported to Ingleside Station and booked for car theft. Report number: 170366003Serious Incidents:
6:52pm Unit Blk. Niagara Aggravated AssaultA parking dispute resulted in serious injuries to one woman. The victim told Ingleside Officer Beltran and Sgt. Ueber that she returned home to find a Ford Exhibition parked in her driveway. The victim got out of her VW to ask the driver to please move out of her driveway so she could park her car. The Ford driver moved forward a short distance but was still blocking her driveway. The VW driver got out of her car to ask again for the Ford driver to move. However, he didn’t and instead, the two, now joined with other occupants of the Ford, began arguing outside their vehicles. Suddenly, one of the Ford’s occupants smashed his fist into the victim’s face, causing her to fall to the ground. The victim got up and called 911 while the Ford drove away. Meanwhile, the victim’s boyfriend, exited their residence, and joined the victim in the VW as they chased the Ford through the neighborhood finally abandoning the pursuit on Geneva Avenue. The pair went back home and waited for police. They gave officers the license plate of the Ford which came back to a South San Francisco address. South San Francisco Police contacted the owner of the vehicle who told them the car was loaned to friends. Meanwhile, the victim was driven to the hospital by her boyfriend for treatment of her injuries. Arrests:6:00pm Moscow & Brazil Stolen VehicleThe owner of a stolen car walked into Bayview Police Station to report the theft. The victim gave officers a description of her Prius along with the license plate number. But the victim also told the officers that she was tracking the stolen car as it weaved through the City. Using that information dispatch alerted Bayview, Taraval, and Ingleside units to be on the lookout for the stolen car. The alert paid off when Ingleside Officers Jensen and Lustenberger spotted the stolen Prius on the 2200 block of Ingalls street. The officers stopped the car and the driver jumped out and tried to escape. He didn’t get far. He was arrested and taken to the Juvenile Justice Center for booking. His passengers were released to their respective parents. Report number: 1703703997:00pm 50 Phelan Ave. WeaponCommunity College Police Officer Cobar and Flood were patrolling a portion of the campus where students like to hang out and smoke marijuana. They found four individuals smoking the substance and asked them to stop. One of the suspects was using a pipe and he agreed to destroy it. A search of clothing found no other narcotic paraphernalia, but the officers did find a large folding knife on one of the men. He was cited for possession of an illegal weapon and released at the scene. Report number: 170367136Serious Incidents:12:01am 1200 Blk Geneva WeaponA man walked into Ingleside Station to report an incident involving a gun. He told Police Services Aid Bruce that he and a friend were walking their dog near the ARCO station when an unknown man walking by yelled at him, “Why are you looking at me?” The suspect pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the victim. The victim told the suspect he was just walking his dog. A short conversation ensued between the suspect and the victim before both parted with the suspect walking away and the victim eventually going to Ingleside Station to report the incident. 3:55pm 30th Street & Sanchez Sexual BatteryA trip home on a MUNI bus turned into a frightening ride for one young woman. The victim told Ingleside Officers Chew and Watts that she was standing with other passengers on a crowded #24 bus when she felt someone touching her from behind. Because the bus was crowded she initially dismissed the assault. But, when it happened a second time she moved away and sat down at an open seat. However the suspect continued to attack her rubbing up against her while standing next to the victim. The victim immediately exited the MUNI bus and called 911. She told the dispatcher that she was chasing the suspect who had also exited the bus. Dispatch advised her not to put herself in more danger and stop chasing the suspect. Officers Chew and Watts searched the surrounding area for the suspect without success. They also requested video footage from nearby businesses as well as from MUNI.
