2:50pm 4600 Blk Mission Assault
Officers Rueca and Elton were on patrol when they were flagged by a male who stated that a person with a knife had just cut his jacket and was following him. The victim was not injured and refused medical assistance. He showed the officers the area where his jacket had been damaged. While interviewing the victim, he pointed to two men across the street and positively identified one of them as the one who had the knife and had damaged his jacket. Sgt. Miller and Officer Bernard arrived to assist the officers and the suspect was placed under arrest. He was transported to Ingleside station pending further investigation.
The victim was transported to Ingleside station and interviewed further by Sgt.Kumli of the Special Investigations Team. The victim told him that the suspect attended the same church as he did and they have never had issues before. He ran into the suspect on today’s date and without provocation the suspect began pushing him, pulled out a box cutter from his pocket and began lunging at him. The victim pushed him away screaming for the suspect to stop and then ran down Mission Street. The suspect continued following the victim and that is when he called police.
At Ingleside station the victim was mirandized and interviewed by Sgt. Bailey. He told her that he encountered the victim who pretended to have a knife and that was when he took out the box cutter to defend himself. At the instruction of Sgt. Riskin, the suspect was booked for the assault. The officers took pictures of both the victim and the suspect. They seized the victim’s jacket for evidence and provided him with a property receipt. All evidence was booked into evidence at Ingleside station. Report number 120242055
10:19pm Niagara/Alemany DUI
Officers McCall and Lozano were on patrol when they observed a vehicle with a failed license plate lamp. The effected a traffic stop and approached the driver. They smelt a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage upon the driver’s breath. The driver’s eyes were bloodshot and watery and his speech was slurred. He was identified by his California Driver’s License and the officer’s believed him to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The officers had the driver exit his vehicle as they performed sobriety tests. The driver failed all three of the tests given. He was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol. He was placed in the back of the patrol vehicle and his vehicle was towed to Auto Return.
The driver was transported to Mission station where an intoxilyzer breath test was performed. The officers seized the test record card and transported the suspect to County Jail where he was booked into custody. The suspect was issued an administrative cite. All evidence was booked at Ingleside station. Report Number 120242942
11:59pm 4200 Blk Mission DUI
Officers McCall and Lozano were on patrol when they were alerted to a gas station regarding a possible drunk driver. They observed a vehicle matching the description and noticed the individual pumping the gas was unsteady on his feet. When the victim entered the vehicle and turned on the ignition switch the officers detained him. As they approached the driver, they smelt a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage upon the driver and noticed his eyelids were droopy and his speech was slurred. He was identified by his California Driver’s License and the officer’s believed him to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The officers had the driver exit his vehicle as they performed sobriety tests. The driver failed all four of the tests given. He was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol. He was placed in the back of the patrol vehicle and his vehicle was towed to Auto Return.
The driver was taken into custody and transported to the County Jail where a blood test was administered. The suspect was issued an administrative cite. All evidence was booked at Ingleside station. Report Number 120240651

6:16am 100 Blk Bronte Theft
At 06:16am Officer Pai responded to a call on Bronte Street regarding a vehicle boosting. The victim claims that the evening before (3/24/12) his wife had parked their vehicle in front of the home. On 3/25 the victim said that at 05:55am, he was in his bedroom when he heard the garage door open. He walked over to his kitchen window where he was able to see the suspect sitting in the driver’s seat of his vehicle. When the victim went outside, he observed the suspect fleeing the area on a scooter. A navigation device, and garage door opener were taken from the victim’s vehicle, which he later located damaged on the corner of
Bronte and Cortland. No arrests have been made at this time. The victim was provided with follow up information. Report Number 120241063
9:42am 100 Blk Chenery Burglary
At 09:42am, Sgt. Miller and Officer Bernard responded to the 100 block of Chenery regarding a report of a bicycle theft. One of the victims claimed that three bicycles had been stolen from his garage, two of which belonged to him, and the third bicycle belonged to his neighbor. It should be noted that the garage is designed as a two car garage for two homes. It is a shared garage. The first victim claims that he returned from work at 6:30pm on 3/23/12, parking his vehicle inside the garage, at which time the three bicycles were still present. On 3/24/12, at 09:30am, the first victim received a call from his neighbor (the second victim), stating he found his garage door open, and that he had closed it. When the first victim went to check on his items in the garage, he found that the three bicycles were stolen. Report Number 120241245
9:54am 1600 Blk Bernal Hts Dog bite
Officer Pai responded to a call at 09:54am at the Bernal Heights Park, regarding a dog bite incident. Upon arrival, Officer Pai had trouble locating the reportee. After contacting dispatch, who contacted the victim, he was redirected to the 100 block of Richland Ave. The victim claims that she was jogging along the Bernal Heights Park Trail, where there were two suspects with three small unleashed dogs. One of the small dogs approached the victim, and bit her left calf. One of the suspects approached her and said: “Sorry.” She then told the suspect that his dog bit her, to which he angrily replied: “We already said sorry” before leaving the scene. The victim was not seriously injured and refused medical assistance. She was provided with follow up information. 11:06am Mission/Sickles Robbery
Officer Goldsborough went to the Kaiser Hospital Emergency Room, regarding a robbery. Upon his arrival he met with the victim who claims that he got on the 14 Mission MUNI bus at approximately 02:30am at Mission, and Cesar Chavez Streets. The victim said that at around 03:00am, he exited the MUNI bus on
Mission, at the last stop before Daly City, where the victim claims that the suspect, whom was also aboard the bus, got off behind him. The victim then says that he fell, and flipped onto his back, and saw the suspect get on top of him, who then proceeded to strike him in the face. The victim lost consciousness, and woke up only to find some of his property stolen, and both shoulders dislocated. No arrests have been made at this time. The officer ordered a copy of the MUNI surveillance video and provided the victim with follow up information. Report Number 120241609
11:19am 600 Blk Duncan Burglary
Sgt. Miller and Officer Bernard responded to a house on the 600 block of Duncan Street, regarding an attempted burglary. The victim claimed that he found minor damage to a lock on a rear door, and he believes that the damage is associated with an attempt to burglarize his residence. The lock still remained in working order and did not appear to have any pry marks on it, despite being slightly popped out. The victim claims that back in December, while he was away from his home with his family, that his home alarm was activated. SFPD officers responded, and found no signs of forced entry or evidence of a burglary. SFPD’s Crime Scene Investigations Unit was not notified due to the lack of physical evidence. 2:00pm 1800 Blk Sunnydale Theft
Officers Peregoy, Hopkins, and Trail were dispatched to investigate an act of vandalism. When they arrived, the victim told the Officers that her car battery was stolen. The victim believes the suspect was an old friend of hers because she has had problems with him before. The victim then provided the officers with a good description of the suspect. They searched the area unsuccessfully for any sign of the suspect. They provided the victim with follow up information. Report Number 120087259
2:15pm 100 Blk Foote Fraud
While on station duty PSA Zabarte was approached by a victim who claimed that she was checking her credit card account when she noticed multiple fraudulent and unauthorized charges on her card. The victim called her bank and discovered that a total of $961 was charged to her account. She was also informed that the charges were all made at gas stations in the Los Angeles area. The victim says that she was never in Los Angeles, made any transactions, or gave anyone permission to use her credit card. She does not know how her information could have been stolen. The bank initiated an investigation, and instructed the victim to file a police report. She was provided with follow up information. Report Number 120241819
4:00pm 100 Blk Holladay Theft
Officers Thompson and Altamirano were dispatched to investigate a burglary. The victim told Officers that his bicycle had been stolen from his garage. The victim said that he might have accidently left the garage door unlocked because there were no signs of entry. CSI was not called for lack of printable surfaces that would provide fingerprints. 4:46pm 400 Blk Silver Fraudulent game
At 4:46pm officers Archilla, and Pereira responded to the 400 Blk of Silver Avenue, regarding a theft. The victim’s son claimed that his mother was deceived into handing over a large amount of cash and jewelry to three unknown females. On 3/20/12, the victim was on her way home when she was approached by the first suspect, who asked her if she knew of a 90 year old priest in the area. They were then approached by the second suspect, who claimed that she knew of a 90 year old priest, and could help. The three women walked over to Mission and Castle Manor. At the new location, they met with the third suspect, who then began to have a conversation with the victim, knowing much of her personal life, to the victim’s surprise. The suspect told the victim that if she did not meet with the priest that she would not be able to walk due to a fall that the victim suffered 15 years ago, and the she would be wheelchair bound. The suspects told the victim to go back home, and come back with all the cash, and jewelry she had in her home, and a handful of rice. Due to the fear of being a victim of bad luck, the victim did as she was instructed to, wrapping every item in newspaper, and placing it into a canvas bag. The victim then returned to Castle Manor, where all three suspects were waiting. They proceeded to walk westbound on Castle Manor, walking into an alley located between Castle Manor and Admiral. Once in the alley, the victim handed over the canvas bag. The third suspect then placed all of the items in the canvas, inside of a black plastic bag, placing them back into the canvas bag. The suspect then instructed the victim to return home because the priest was busy praying for others. She also instructed her to keep all items in the plastic bag, and not open it for 15 days, when they would meet again. Then on 3/25/12 the victim stated that she was reading a newspaper, where it was mentioned that several people in San Francisco had been deceived into giving up large amounts of money, and jewelry in exchange for prayers. When the victim opened up the black plastic bag, where she found not her belongings, but rather found waters bottles, and a box of crackers. No arrests have been made at this time. 7:30pm 1400 Blk Shotwell Burglary
Officer Castillo was dispatched to investigate a burglary. When they arrived, the victim told the Officers that five bicycles were stolen from her garage. She had been notified earlier by a neighbor that her garage and front door were open. The victim did not know who might have stolen her bicycles. There were no witnesses and CSI was not called for lack of printable surfaces. She was provided with follow up information. Report Number 120090434
8:40pm 100 Blk Hanover Threats
Officers Casinelli and Morse were on patrol when they responded to a call on Hanover Street, regarding threatening phone calls. The victim showed the officers threatening text messages that he had received from the suspect, containing obscenities, and threats. Prior to receiving the text messages, the suspect also called the victim, telling him that he was on his way to beat him up. The victim is a musician, who hired the suspect in the past to film music videos, but did not use his services after that. The suspect was angry that his YouTube account was blocked, preventing the use of the victim’s videos, and as a result, he wants to beat up the victim. To make matters worse, the suspect also owes the victim money. The victim was instructed by the officers to save all the communications from the suspect for the investigation. The officers also requested Tenderloin units to respond to the victim’s workplace, to check for any vandalism, or suspicious activity. The business was secured, and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Report Number 120242748
9:30pm 1600 Blk Geneva Assault
Officers Dilag and Khan were dispatched to investigate an assault. When they arrived, they were informed by witnesses that the suspect has just fled the scene in a silver Honda. The witnesses also told Officers that they saw the victim and the suspect bump into each other during a soccer game. The victim was knocked down and when he got up the suspect punched him in the face, knocking him unconscious. The victim fell to the ground and then the suspect kicked him in the face. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim told the officers that he only remembers being punched in the face but not being kicked. The Officers called for medical assistance but the victim declined further medical attention. The Officers were given a description of the suspect and the victim said he could identify him again if he saw him. The area was searched unsuccessfully for the suspect and the victim was provided with follow up information. Report Number 120090600
