Incident Date:
Friday, January 27th, 2012

Arrests:

10:25pm     Mission/Russia              Warrant
Officers McCall and Lozano were on patrol when they observed a vehicle with a nonfunctional stop lamp.  A record check of the license plate revealed the driver was a possible wanted person and to use caution if contact was made with the wanted individual.  The officers affected a traffic stop and the driver presented a California Identification card for identification.  He admitted to not having a California Driver’s License.  Another male passenger was asked his name and he admitted to the officers that he was the “wanted” individual.  The passenger exited the vehicle and was detained without incident.  He was transported to Ingleside station at the instruction of Sgt. Turner pending further investigation. 

A record check on the driver of the vehicle revealed his license to be suspended.  He was cited at the scene and released.  The vehicle was towed to Auto Return. 

At Ingleside station the warrant check on the passenger of the vehicle was confirmed and he was booked at Ingleside station for the warrant.  Report Number 120076359

11:50pm     4500 Blk Mission            Battery
Officers Ma and Hermosura were dispatched with several other Ingleside officers regarding a fight on a MUNI bus.  Upon their arrival, both gentlemen were detained.  One of the men was lying on the sidewalk.  He became combative and had to be placed in handcuffs.  He claimed to have no injuries or complaint of pain.

The officers spoke with the other male they had detained who said he was on the MUNI bus when the male who was lying on the sidewalk began assaulting him for no reason.  He stated he was punched several times and complained of pain to the side of his face.  The officers immediately summoned an ambulance to assist him. 

The officers spoke with the driver of the MUNI bus who confirmed she witnessed the altercation and that the male lying on the floor had started the fight.  All parties were provided with follow up information and the suspect lying on the sidewalk was transported to the county jail and booked for the battery.  Report Number 120076644

Officer Lee was working at Ingleside station when a victim came in to report that he parked his vehicle and when he returned found several items missing.  He stated there was no sign of forced entry and believed one of his roommates may have left the vehicle unlocked.  He could provide no further information and was provided with follow up information.  Report Number 120077874

11:10am     1000 Blk Mansell            Robbery
Officer Najarro and several other Ingleside units responded to McClaren park regarding an individual who had been robbed at gunpoint.  A description of the suspect was broadcast and the officers canvassed the area in search of him.  The victim had a large hematoma on his forehead and an ambulance was summoned immediately.  The victim told the officers that he was taking pictures in the park and when he was finished began walking back to his vehicle.  He noticed a male walking towards him.  When the suspect got closer to him he pulled out a black handgun, and began yanking the camera and other items from the victim.  The victim struggled with the suspect and the suspect hit the victim’ head with the gun.  The victim let go of his camera and the suspect ran out of the park toward Mansell Street.  The victim then called the police.

The paramedics arrived and transported the victim to the hospital for further treatment.  The officers took pictures of the victim’s injuries which they booked into evidence at Ingleside station.  They provided him with follow up information. 

The officers searched the area for the suspect to no avail.  Report Number 120074701

Officer Phillips was working at Ingleside station when a victim came to the counter to report a robbery.  She told him that she was walking on Joost Street and holding her Iphone in her hand.  An unknown male approached her from behind, grabbed the phone from her and took off running toward Baden Street.  She did not get a good look at the suspect and does not believe she could identify him.  She provided a description of his clothing and officers searched the area unsuccessfully for him.  The victim refused medical assistance and was provided with follow up information.  Report Number 120074983

2:45pm       200 Blk Santos              Burglary
Officers LaRocca and Muro were sent to investigate a burglary.  They spoke with the reportee who advised that a neighbor who resides in an adjacent apartment had observed a male loitering in front of her apartment.  The next morning the neighbor said she noticed damage to the front door and notified the reportee.  The reportee stated that entry may have been made, but that nothing appeared to be missing.  The officers provided the reportee with follow up information and took pictures of the scene which they booked into evidence at Ingleside station.  Report Number 120078032

Officers Thompson and Phillips responded to an auto boost.  They met with the victim who advised that he parked and secured his vehicle and was later notified by a neighbor that one of his windows had been broken.  The victim stated that there was nothing missing from the vehicle and was provided with follow up information.  A description of the suspect was provided by dispatch and officers searched the area for anyone fitting the description with negative results.  Report Number 120077147

Officers Seavey and Jones were dispatched to investigate a vandalism.  The victim advised that several rocks had been thrown at his windows causing them to shatter.  The victim said he did not know who may have thrown the rocks but wanted the incident documented.  He was provided with follow up information.  Report Number 120076412

8:53pm       200 Blk Rolph               Agg. Assault
Officers Chang and Park were sent to a gas station regarding an assault.  Upon their arrival, they observed paramedics providing medical assistance to an individual who was on the ground.  The paramedics advised that the unknown male was suffering from a stab wound.  The officers maintained a crime scene in the area where they followed a trail of blood.  Several witnesses in the area stated that they observed the male and another male arguing and that after the fight the suspect boarded a black vehicle and drove away.  They were unable to provide a description of the suspect and could not identify him.  Officers searched the area for the vehicle or any weapons to no avail.  They took pictures of the scene and booked them into evidence at Ingleside station.  The officers viewed surveillance videos at nearby stores and ordered copies of the tapes for further investigation.  Sgt. Kasper took over the investigation and SFPD’s Crime Scene Investigations Unit processed the scene for evidence.  The victim was transported to the hospital for further medical treatment.  Report Number 120076133

2:41am       100 Blk Kingston           Warrant
Officer Hauscarriague was on patrol when he spotted a suspect that he knows from prior police contact and that he knew was wanted on an outstanding warrant.  The suspect spotted the officer and began to walk quickly away from him in the opposite direction.  The officer directed the suspect to stop, but he refused.  The suspect made a motion with his arm as if he was discarding something on the ground.  The officer caught up with the suspect and grabbed his arm.  The suspect pulled his arm away, but eventually complied with the officer and sat on the sidewalk.  A records check confirmed that there was an outstanding warrant for the suspect, and he was placed under arrest.  The officer retraced the suspect’s steps and discovered a baggie in the exact area where the suspect appeared to have discarded an object.  The baggie was filled with suspected narcotics.  The officer seized it as evidence.  Report 120076939

Officers Dudley and Antonian were on patrol in an unmarked police vehicle.  The officers positioned themselves in such a way that they were concealed.  The officers were looking for documented gang members in violation of court issued stay away orders.  The officers spotted several suspects that they recognized from prior police contact.  Several other officers arrived on scene to assist Officers Dudley and Antonian as they approached the suspects.  Four of the suspects were confirmed to have been served with the stay away order, and they were arrested on violating it.  Report 120078725

Officers McCall and Lozano were on patrol when they pulled up directly behind a vehicle.  A records check of the vehicle revealed that the registration had expired over six months prior.  However, the tag affixed to the vehicle showed a current year of 2012.  The officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle.  The driver admitted to putting the false tab on the license plate.  The driver also did not have insurance for the vehicle and was driving on a suspended license.  The officers also located three baggies containing suspect narcotics in the vehicle.  The driver was arrested on several charges.  Report 120079171

Officers Trail, Hopkins and Uang responded to a report of possible gunshots fired.  Several other Ingleside officers responded to assist.  The officers located a victim who had several gun shots to his body.  The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of his wounds.  Report 120077448

PSA Heckenberg-Tognozzi took a report regarding theft from a vehicle.  The victim parked her vehicle and secured it.  Upon her return, she discovered that an unknown suspect had smashed on the of vehicle’s windows.  The victim did not believe that anything was taken from the vehicle.  Report 120077799

Officers Peregrina and Leong were dispatched to a report of vandalism.  The victim operates a Laundromat.  The victim received a call from a suspect telling him that the machines were out of quarters.  The victim told the suspect that he would be into the Laundromat in about twenty minutes to take care of it.  Approximately five minutes later, the suspect called the victim again, this time cursing at him and demanding to know where he was.  The victim responded to the Laundromat and found one of the washing machines doors had been damaged.  Report 120078474

Officers Hom and Campos responded to a report of a broken window.  The victim heard the sound of breaking glass coming from her living room.  The victim discovered that an unknown suspect had damaged the outer window pane.  Report 120078872

6:15pm       4800 Blk Mission St      Alcohol
Officer Archilla and Burke responded to a report of a fight possibly involving pepper spray.  The officers made contact with the victim who pointed in the direction of where he thought the suspect was.  The officers located a suspect matching the description given by the victim.  The victim positively identified the suspect as the one who pepper sprayed him.  The officers recovered the pepper spray canister.  The victim did not want to press charges against the suspect.  However, the suspect was highly intoxicated and unable to care for himself.  The suspect was booked on being drunk in public.  Report 120060233

Officers Hauscarriague and Almaguer were on patrol when they spotted a suspect attempt to conceal something in her bra.  The officers made contact with the suspect who was with a second male suspect.  A records check revealed that the first suspect was wanted for two outstanding warrants.  The suspect was also in possession of suspected narcotics and she was arrested.  The second suspect was released from the scene.  Report 120073480

SFCCPD Officer Zhadi took a report regarding theft.  The victim locked his personal belongings in a locker.  The victim returned and discovered his padlock had been stolen along with his personal belongings.  Report 120071337

PSA Flynn took a report regarding theft.  The victim parked and locked his vehicle.  When he returned, he discovered a suspect had smashed one of the vehicle’s windows.  Several items were missing from the car.  Report 120072329

Officers Sullivan and Padilla responded to a report of a found hand gun located by Daly City PD.  Daly City had located a possible explosive device in addition to a hand gun and silencer.  After rendering the scene safe, the officers seized the items and booked them into evidence.  Report 120071713

Officer Goldsborough took a report regarding an assault.  The victim got into a verbal argument with the suspect.  The suspect then pushed the victim to the ground causing her to hit her head on the ground.  The suspect then grabbed the victim and put her in a headlock.  The suspect punched the victim several more times in the head.  The fight was finally broken up.  The victim suffered a concussion.  Report 120075038

Sgt. Miller was dispatched to a report of theft.  The victim had a friendship for several years with the suspect.  The suspect would often ask the victim for money to support her drug habit.  The victim returned home one day and discovered the suspect in his house.  The suspect asked the victim for money, which he gave her.  The suspect left.  Later, the victim realized that some items were missing from his house and believed the suspect stole them.  Report 120077357

SFCCPD Officer Russo took a report regarding theft.  The victim secured his personal belongings in a locker and secured it.  Upon his return, the victim discovered his combination lock and personal belongings were missing.  Report 120069780

Officers Peregrina and Kerlegan responded to a report of a robbery.  The victim was standing on the sidewalk waiting for a friend.  The victim was looking down at her phone, surfing the internet.  A suspect approached and attempted to grab the victim’s cell phone from her hands.  The victim was able to hold on to her cell phone.  The suspect fled.  Report 120072868

Officers Park and Chang were dispatched to a report of a stabbing.  The officers located a victim lying on the sidewalk.  A citizen was performing CPR on the victim because he was not breathing.  Paramedics soon arrived on scene and transported the victim to the hospital.  The victim was pronounced dead in the emergency room.  Report 120073446

Officers Benavidez and Lozano responded to a report of a fight.  The victim was located lying on the sidewalk with abrasions to his arms and feet.  Witnesses told officers that the victim had been in a heated argument with a suspect.  The victim was transported to St. Lukes for treatment of his injuries, where he gave the officers his statement.  The victim told the officers that he received a phone call from an acquaintance that the victim owed money to.  The acquaintance told the victim to pay her in installments or she would send gangsters to his house to collect.  The acquaintance arrived to the victim’s house a short time later with the suspect.  The victim walked around the corner with the suspect to speak with him.  The suspect assaulted the victim by punching him several times and knocking him to the ground.  Report 120073593

Arrests:

12:38pm     100Blk Turk                 Narcotics
Sgt. Lozada and Officer Hurwitz were participating in a citywide operation when they observed a male acting suspiciously in an area well known for narcotics trafficking.  They approached the individual and began to speak with him.  The individual told them he was on probation for a drug related offense.  A computer check revealed the suspect to be on active felony probation.  A probation search of his person located a white crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine.  The officers seized the narcotics and transported the suspect to the county jail where he was booked accordingly.  Officer Hurwitz performed a presumptive test of the white substance which returned positive for methamphetamine.  She packed the substance and hand delivered it to the narcotics drop box at the Hall of Justice.  Report Number 120068180

12:53pm     Turk/Taylor                  Warrant Arrest
Officers Dudley and several other Ingleside officers were participating in a citywide operation when they observed several individuals which they recognized from prior police contact.  A record check revealed two of them to have outstanding warrants.  They made contact with the suspects and placed them under arrest.  They were transported to the county jail and booked for the warrants upon confirmation.  Report Number 120068390

1:35pm       Market/McAllister        Warrant Arrest
Sgt. Lozada and Officer Hurwitz were participating in a citywide operation when they observed an individual whom they recognize from having prior contacts with him.  They began conversing with him and the individual told him he was on probation.  A record check revealed the individual was on probation and had an active no bail felony warrant.  He was taken into custody and booked at the county jail upon confirmation of the warrant.  An arrest search revealed a knife in one of the suspect’s pockets which was seized and booked into evidence by Officer Yuen.  Report Number 120068572

3:15pm       200 Blk 9th St.               Weapons
Sgt. Lozada and Officer Hurwitz were notified that a vehicle carrying three females and one male would be arriving at a hotel and they were in possession of a handgun and a large amount of methamphetamine. After arriving on scene, they identified one of the suspects sitting in the vehicle and approached her. The Officers noticed that the female suspect was extremely nervous and asked her to step out of the vehicle. After a weapons search a record check revealed the woman to be on active probation with a warrantless search condition. On the floor of the driver’s seat the Officers observed, in plain view, a handgun with an extended magazine. The female suspect was then placed under arrest. The Officers then knocked on the room of the hotel where they believed the other suspects might be located. The Officers found three other suspects in the hotel room and after further investigation found that two of them had warrens for their arrest. After searching the room the Officers found stolen identification and credit cards. The suspects were transported to Ingleside Station.  Report number 120069150

Officer Garcia was on patrol when he noticed that a man had made an illegal U turn over a double yellow line. After the U turn was made, the suspect pulled his car over and parked. The Officer pulled up behind the vehicle and watched as the suspect, his wife, and two small children exited the vehicle. The Officer approached the suspect and notified him of his traffic violation. Immediately, the Officer noticed a very strong smell of alcohol coming from the suspect’s breath. The Officer then conducted a field sobriety test which the suspect failed.  The suspect was then arrested and transported to Ingleside Station.  The suspect was later transported to Mission Police Station where he failed the breathalyzer test.  The suspect was transported to the county jail and booked for driving under the influence.  Report Number 120069633

While Officers Yuen, Antonian, Dudley and Gonzalez were on patrol they spotted a man they knew had an active warrant. They approached the suspect and asked for his identification. After confirming the suspect’s identity the warrant was confirmed and the suspect was arrested and transported to Ingleside Station.  Report Number 120069978

6:52pm       1100 Blk Geneva          Warrant Arrest
While Officers Hom and Cassinelli were on patrol they noticed a man panhandling that they knew was on parole. The Officers approached the suspect and asked if he was on parole and he confirmed that he was. The Officers conducted a warrant search that came back positive. The suspect was arrested and transported to Ingleside Station and booked into custody upon confirmation of the warrant.  Report number 120069984

Officers Lim and Chew were dispatched to investigate a theft. The Officers meet with the victim and were informed that the victim’s cell phone had been stolen. The victim knew who stole it and had video surveillance to prove it. The victim had contacted the suspect and requested it back, but the suspect had informed him that he sold it. The video surveillance footage could not be obtained at that time from the manager and the reportee was provided with follow up information. Report Number 120065192

Officer Boyko was dispatched to Ingleside station to make a counter report regarding a past robbery. The victim told the Officer that she was walking to class when two males approached her and demanded her backpack. She complied and they searched it for valuables. They found nothing of value and turned their focus to her. One of them held her down and the other searched her pockets and stole $10 dollars. They then threw her to the ground and took off running. The victim told Officers that she could identify them if she saw them again.  She was not injured and refused medical assistance.  Officer Boyko provided her with follow up information.  Report Number 120067449

7:22pm       Unit Blk Laidley           Attempted Theft
Officers Cassinelli and Hom were dispatched because a woman was screaming for help. Upon arriving the Officers contacted the female victim and were informed that a black male attempted to steal her car. The victim told Officers that when she returned to her vehicle she noticed that a man was sitting in her car. She began screaming at the man and he exited the vehicle and took off down the street. There was nothing stolen and no forced entry because the victim does not lock her vehicle due to prior incidents. The Officers searched the area for the suspect with negative results. While on station duty Officer Zabarte meet with the victim of a robbery. The victim told the Officer that while walking down the street he was pushed from behind and he fell to the sidewalk. Five suspects grabbed his backpack and cellular phone that was attached to his hip and began kicking him in the torso. The beating lasted for several minutes before he was able to escape. The suspect said he would not be able to identify the suspects if he saw them again.  The victim refused medical assistance and was provided with follow up information.  Report Number 120068083

Officers Hom and Lustenberger responded to a report of vandalism.  The victim decided not to press charges against the suspect. However, a records check revealed that the suspect was wanted for an outstanding warrant.  The suspect was arrested.  Report 110534260

Officer Lee took a report regarding false personation.  The victim’s father had passed away and she took over his estate.  Soon she began receiving notices of credit card accounts that had been opened in her father’s name.  Report 120065255

6:05am       Cortland & Elsie          Robbery
Officers Sanchez and Curry responded to St. Lukes hospital to interview a victim of an attempted robbery.  The victim told the officers that he had been walking with his headphones on, listening to his iPod.  The suspect jumped out in front of him and demanded the victim turn over his property.  The suspect grabbed the victim but the victim struggled to get away.  The suspect then stabbed the victim in his chest with something sharp.  The victim managed to push the suspect away.  The suspect did not get any of the victim’s property.  The victim went to the hospital where he was treated for the stab wound.  Report 120064194

Officers Martinez and Morgante were on patrol when they noticed a vehicle traveling directly in front of them that was weaving back and forth.  The officers could see the suspect in the side mirror of the vehicle.  It seems as if he was looking down in his lap, as if he was on an electronic device.  The officers ran a records check of the vehicle as it pulled into a gas station.  The results revealed that the car had been reported stolen.  The officers approached the vehicle that was now parked at the pumps in the gas station.  The officers realized that the suspect was no longer in the vehicle.  Witnesses told the officers that the suspect had run and jumped a fence.  The officers called for back up as they set up a perimeter of the fenced area.  Officers Aslam and Sgt. Kumli located the suspect under a staircase where he was hiding.  Officer Morgante joined the officers and took the suspect into custody.    Report 120064291 ***BEST ARREST OF THE DAY!!!***

Officers Peregoy and Hopkins were dispatched to a report of theft.  The victim was sitting her in car with her purse on the front passenger seat.  A suspect walked up to the car, opened the door, and took the purse from the seat.  The suspect fled.  The victim chased him briefly but she lost sight of him.  Report 120063663

PSA Zabarte took a report regarding false personation.  The victim received a notice that she had insufficient funds in her bank account.  The victim looked at her account and realized that several checks had been cashed from her account that she did not authorize.  Report 120065211

Officer Lee took a report regarding false personation.  The victim was contacted by a cell phone company that a suspect had opened an account using his name and social security number.  The suspect had an outstanding balance of $500.00.  Report 120043295

Officer Kerlegan responded to a report of burglary.  The victims left their apartment, and secured it by making sure it was locked.  The windows were also secured.  When the victims returned, they discovered that their living room had been ransacked.  Several items were taken from the residence.  Report 120066140

SFCCPD Officer Burlyga took a report regarding theft.  The victim secured his items in a locker with a combination lock.  Upon his return, he discovered that his lock was missing and his items gone.  Report 120066275

8:45pm       Hamilton & Delta        Robbery
Officers Paras and Shugars responded to a report of a robbery.  The victim was on her way home from work riding the MUNI bus.  The victim got off at her stop and began to walk home. The suspect approached the victim from behind and grabbed her in bear-hug type hold.  The suspect demanded the victim’s purse.  The suspect grabbed the purse but the victim fought to hold on.  The suspect pushed the victim down during the struggle.  The suspect pinned the victim on the ground by putting his foot on her stomach.  The suspect gained control of the purse and fled.  Report 120066764

Officer Dominguez was dispatched to a call of theft.  The victim parked her vehicle in her apartment’s parking garage with both windows rolled down.  When she returned to her vehicle, she realized several of her personal items were missing from the vehicle.  Report 120066861

Officer Dominguez took a responded to a report of a theft.  The victim was on the MUNI.  At a stop, the victim noticed the suspect standing close to her.  When the doors opened, the suspect grabbed the victim’s purse from her lap and fled.  Report 120066770 

9:35pm       Unit Blk Phelan Ave     Theft
SFCCPD Officer Bermudez took a report regarding theft. The victim locked his bicycle with a cable lock on a bike rack.  Upon her return, he discovered the bicycle and lock were gone.  Report 120066877

11:45pm     5600 Blk Mission St      Robbery
Officers Dominguez and Ferronato were dispatched to a report of a robbery.  The victim was on the MUNI train and exited at her stop.  As the victim was walking, a suspect yelled something at her that she did not understand.  Five suspects then surrounded the victim and began to taunt her.  The victim attempted to walk away, but one of the suspects grabbed her hair while another kicked her in the leg.  The victim fell to the ground as all of the suspects began to kick and punch her.  One of the suspects took the victim’s shoes and money from her pocket.  The suspects fled the scene.  The victim was transported to SFGH because of pain to her head.  Report 120063958

1:43am       San Jose & Randall      D.U.I.
Officer Dominguez responded to a well being check.  The officer arrived and found a vehicle on the Muni tracks.  The vehicle was moving slowly forward and then attempted to reverse.  The officer approached the vehicle and contacted the driver.  The officer immediately noticed that the driver smelled strongly of alcohol.  The officer asked the driver to remove the keys from the ignition.  The driver had difficultly doing so and seemed to have impaired coordination.  The driver talked with a heavy slur.  The officer asked the driver to exit the vehicle, and as he did, he stumbled and was unsteady on his feet.  After further investigation, the officer determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested for a D.U.I.  Report 120061162

10:50pm     Circular & Hearst         Vandalism
Officers Seavey, Padilla, Chew and Lim had all responded to a report of two suspects breaking into vehicles.  Officer Chew had one suspect detained while the other was outstanding.  A witness told the officer that he was in his residence when he heard glass breaking.  The witness looked outside and saw two suspects fleeing the area.  Several other witnesses and victims came forward regarding their vehicles being broken in to.  The detained suspect was positively identified and was arrested.  Report 120060960

Officer Padilla was dispatched to a report of vandalism.  The victim was asleep when she heard a loud noise that caused her to wake up.  She walked out of her room to investigate and discovered that the front window of her residence had been shattered.  She then found a rock on her living room couch, which appeared to have caused the damage.  Report 120061247

PSA Cato took a report regarding fraud.  The victim received a phone call from her bank regarding charges made to her account.  The victim informed the bank that these charges were not authorized by her.  Report 120063823

9:45am       4200 Blk Mission St      Assault
Officer Bernard was on patrol when he was flagged down by a victim.  The victim was on a roof installing a satellite dish when he suddenly heard several noises that sounded like metal hitting the satellite dish.  The victim looked down and saw three pellets lying on the roof next to him.  The victim did not see who had shot the pellets at him.  Report 120061736

11:55am     Geneva & San Jose       Robbery
Officer Bernard responded to the BART station to meet with a victim who had her purse snatched.  The victim was walking while talking on her cell phone.  The victim was carrying her purse on her shoulder.  Suddenly, she felt a tug on her purse.  The victim attempted to keep control of the purse as she turned around and saw the suspect.  The suspect told the victim to give her purse up.  The victim feared for her safety and handed over her purse.  The suspect fled.  Report 120062126

Officers Sanchez and Curry were dispatched to a report of a burglary.  The reporting person told the officers his had been taking care of the victim’s house while he was out of town.  The reporting person arrived to check on the house and discovered the front door unlocked, even though he had locked it when he had left the prior day.  There was also a window found open that is normally closed and locked.  The reporting person was not sure what was taken from the home since he does not live there.  Report 120062449

PSA Cato took a report regarding theft.  The victim said that she had evicted the suspect from her home.  A neighbor saw the suspect slide under the front gate of the home one day while the victim was out.  Several days later, the victim realized some of her personal belongings had been stolen from her residence.  Report 120063099

6:45pm       Persia & Paris St           Theft
Officer Gonzalez was dispatched to a report of theft.  The victim was on the bus when a suspect grabbed her cell phone from her.  The suspect fled with a second suspect.  Several officers responded to the scene and detained six possible suspects.  The suspects could not be identified and they were all released.  Report 120063356

7:05pm       1800 Blk Sunnydale       Battery
Officers Peregoy and Hopkins responded to a report of a verbal argument.  The victim said she was inside her residence with the suspect.  The victim went upstairs and turned off the lights in the living room as she left.  The suspect grew angry that the victim turned the lights off, and an argument ensued.  The suspect punched the victim twice in the face and then threw an unknown object at her.  The object struck the victim in the jaw.  The suspect grabbed the victim’s medication and clothing and threw it out of the front door.  The suspect fled.  Report 120063431

While responding to the above call regarding vandalism, Officer Seavey was approached by a victim.  The victim told the officer that an unknown suspect had broken a window on his house.  The victim did not see who had broken the window.  This incident is likely connected to the above incident considering its proximity to Circular and Hearst Ave.  Report 120061009

Officer Frisk was dispatched to a report of vandalism.  The victims owned two vehicles whose windows had been smashed.  A third victim came forward while the officer was speaking with the first two victims who also had her vehicle damaged.  Because of the location of the damaged vehicles, Officer Frisk was able to link these incidents to the incident that occurred initially at Circular and Hearst Ave where a suspect was taken into custody.  Report 120060960
