Serious Incidents:
11:50am     3300 Blk Mission                    Robbery
Officers Padilla and Sullivan were on patrol when they were flagged down regarding a robbery involving a knife. The victim said he was sitting at the MUNI bus shelter located on the Northwest corner of Mission and 30th street. Moments later, a Muni bus pulled into the bus stop and two suspects exited the bus and sat down next to the victim. Both suspects began rifling through the victim’s pockets. The victim reacted and pushed both suspects away, but one of them pulled out a knife and held it up to the victim’s lower abdomen. The suspect then said, “Give me your money”. Fearing for his life, the victim handed over his cell phone. . Both suspects then casually walked away, crossing the street headed onto Eastbound Eugenia Street. Officer Padilla and Sullivan searched for the suspects to no avail. Report Number 130081752

7:00pm       100 Blk Lowell                       Robbery
Officers Morrow and Naval went to investigate a robbery call at Lowell and Brunswick. Officers Tam and Cortez were already on scene interviewing another victim that was robbed as well. Officer Naval spoke to the victim who said she had just gotten off Muni bus and was walking home headed Eastbound on Lowell Street. As she was walking she saw three suspects walking towards her. As soon as they crossed paths, one of the suspects put a Silver colored object up to her neck and instructed her to look down and not to scream.  The victim assumed it was a gun so she complied with the suspect’s demands. A second suspect started going through her pockets and asked her if she had any money. The victim did not want to be harmed and handed over her purse. The suspects told her to start walking and they fled in the opposite direction. A she was walking she heard another female scream, who apparently was a victim of a robbery as well. Both victims then went to the corner store and called the police. Report Number 130082932.

7:03pm       100 Blk Lowell                       Robbery
Officers Morrow and Naval responded to Lowell and Brunswick on a call of a robbery. When they arrived, they found two victims. After speaking with the first victim, they spoke with the second one, who said she was walking home after going to the produce market when she was approached by two suspects. When the suspects passed her, one of them pulled out a Silver gun and held it up to her right temple. She then felt a kick or punch to her right abdominal area and right leg. The victim said she felt to the ground as a result and one of the suspects yanked her wallet from her pants and her cell phone from her hands and the earphones that were in her ears, which were connected to her phone. After stealing the items, the suspects ran Eastbound on Lowell Street and lost sight of them as they approached Brunswick. The victim then walked to the corner store to call for the police. Arrests:

4:40pm       100 Blk Britton             Battery
Officers Campos and Suguitan went to the 100 block of Britton on a report of a stabbing. Dispatched had provided the officers with the suspects name and physical description. Officers Peregoy, Trail, Hopkins and Sgt McDevitt were close by and responded as well and located the suspect and victim. The victim had an apparent injury over his right eye, which was bleeding. Medics were called out to the scene. Officer Campos tried to speak with the victim who was uncooperative and only said that he was in an argument with the suspect which turned physical. The victim said that during the altercation the suspect punched him causing the injury. The victim refused to answer any more questions and refused to be treated and walked away. The suspect was taken to Ingleside Station where it was revealed he had two outstanding warrants as well. The suspect was charged for the battery and booked on the warrants. Report Number 130079688

10:10am     2800 Blk Diamond       Theft
Officers Gordon and Pereira responded to a report of a purse snatch at the Glen Park Public Library located on the 2800 block of Diamond Street. They spoke with the victim who said she was sitting in the library reading a book. The victim said she had placed her purse in the empty seat next to her, when she saw a hand grab her purse. The victim attempted to also grab her purse, but the suspect had already run off with it. The victim tried to go after the suspect but a fallen down. An employee of the library ran after the suspect as he made his way outside and saw the suspect jump into a parked vehicle. The employee was able to get the license plate number of the get-away vehicle and gave it to the officers. Officer Pereira spoke with the owner of the Canyon Market who said there are surveillance cameras outside and that a copy of the video would be available if needed. The suspect got away with the victims purse containing her wallet, bank card, money, keys, cell phone and miscellaneous items. Report Number 130078533.

11:50am     5100 Blk Mission          Robbery
Officers Grennell and Fung responded to a possible robbery which occurred on the side walk of 5100 block of Mission. When the officers arrived at the victim’s house, the victim told the officers that she was walking on Mission St going northbound with her headphones in and phone in her left hand. An unknown suspect ran from behind and tried to snatch the phone out of her hand. The victim tried to resist but the suspect was able to overpower her grip and ran off with her phone. The victim chased the suspect on foot as he ran southbound on Mission St and turned eastbound on to Rolph St where the suspect got into an unknown vehicle.  The victim attempted to grab onto the window as the suspect was driving off. The victim fell to the ground and sustained non-life threatening injuries. The victim stated to the officers that she requires no medical attention. The victim said she will be able to recognize the subject if she saw him again. Report Number: 130079155

9:00pm       500 Blk Arlington          Robbery
Officer Lockett responded to 200 block of Arlington on a report of a robbery. As the officer interviewed the victim, the victim stated that he was robbed on the 500 block of Arlington by two suspects. According to the victim, two male suspects exited the silver vehicle and started to walk towards him as he was walking southbound on Arlington. The suspect came up to the victim and started pointing gun at him and demanded to give up all his property. The victim was in fear for his life and both suspects started to search the victim. The suspects took victim’s phone and his wallet. The suspects then told the victim to walk away and not to turn back. The victim assumed that the suspects fled southbound on Arlington in the vehicle. The victim said that he could identify the suspects that robbed him if he saw them again. The officer searched the area and did not observe any apparent video surveillance or any witnesses. 10:00pm     100 Blk Appleton           Robbery
Officer Ma and Anderson responded to Appleton and Gladys regarding a robbery with a gun. The officers spoke with the victims who said that they were walking west on Appleton towards Patton St. when they saw three suspects walking towards them. One of the suspects had a semi-automatic gun as he pointed it at the victims, the suspects demanded to give up all their property, the other suspect then grabbed the victim and threw her to the ground.  The suspects took  her purse and then fled south on Patton St.  The suspects got away with the victims purse containing her cell phone and her wallet. The officers asked if they need any medical attention and the victims declined. Additional units searched the area to no avail. Report Number: 130080431

Arrests:
2:35am       Madison/Silver                       Stolen Vehicle
Officers Padilla and Seavey were on routine patrol when they saw the driver of a Blue Acura 2.5 TL fail to come to a complete stop at a posted stop sign. The officers proceeded to stop the vehicle for the traffic violation. When both officers approached the car, they could see that there was no key in the ignition and the ignition looked as if it was tampered with. The officers also saw a thin metal object with tape wrapped around it lying of the floor board. Believing the vehicle was stolen, the officers detained all three occupants, and sent a unit to the owners address. An Ingleside Unit responded to the address where a family member provided a contact number for the owner. Officer Seavey called the phone number and spoke to the actual owner of the vehicle who said the vehicle was left parked near Majestic and Lakeview Avenue by his son earlier in the day and that no one else should be driving it. Officer Seavey provided the names of all the occupants and the owner advised he did not know any of the names. The driver was transported to Ingleside station where he was interviewed. The driver admitted to taking the vehicle and using the metal object to start the vehicle. The driver was subsequently booked on numerous charges including possession of stolen property and burglary tools. The passengers were released from the scene and the vehicle was towed. 4:36pm       1100 Blk Crescent                  Drug Arrest
Officers Campos, Burke and Sgt Alvarez were on patrol when they observed a subject washing a large Penske moving van inside a public lot locate in the area of Crescent and Putnam Street. The officers went to speak with this subject and found out that he was on active probation with a search condition. Officer Campos exercised the search condition and searched the subject finding methamphetamine, heroin, and Marijuana on his person. The subject was placed under arrest and taken to Ingleside Station. Officer Campos tested the drugs which revealed positive for methamphetamine and heroin. The subject was charged and booked accordingly. Report Number 130076719.

3:28pm       1800 Blk Sunnydale               Assault
Officers McCall and Ferronato responded to the 1800 block of Sunnydale Avenue on multiple calls of shots being fired. Several Ingleside units as well as Bayview units responded to the area as well. The units searched the area and found a victim who had been shot in his left thigh. Medics arrived and transported the victim to the hospital. The units also found spent casings on the street close to where the victim had been shot. Officer Ferronato went to the hospital and spoke with the victim, who said he was coming home from work when he noticed a car drive by, make a U-turn, and drive back and without warning the driver opened fire. The victim said he has no problems with anyone and believes it is most likely a case of mistaken identity. The victim was treated for a non-life threatening injury. Report Number 130075238.

2:00pm       Geneva/San Jose                    Robbery
Officers Lockett and Kerlegan went to the South San Francisco Kaiser Hospital to investigate a robbery that occurred in the area of Geneva and San Jose Avenue. The victim said he just got off  BART and was standing on the Northwest side of Geneva and San Jose when an unknown suspect approached him and attacked him for no reason by punching him numerous times on the face. The victim said he tried to defend himself but three female suspects joined in and went through his pockets and took his cell phone. After taking the victims phone, all the suspects ran away headed Eastbound on Geneva Avenue. The victim said he went to a family member’s house but that after he arrived his face started hurting so he went to the hospital to get treated. Report Number 130077187.

Arrests:

1:10pm       100 Blk Blythdale         Drugs
Sgt. McDevitt was on patrol when he observed a man standing in front of a vacant unit located on Blythdale. This area is known to have a high incident of crimes. Sgt. McDevitt has seen this man standing near vacant unit and engaging in conversation with passersby on many occasions. As the Sgt. was driving by the suspect attempted to hide by step behind a car that was parked at the curb. As the Sgt. began to walk towards the suspect, the suspect quickly started to walk away.  The Sgt. eventually stopped the suspect and noticed that he was nervous and fidgety; the Sgt. smelled the strong odor of unburned Marijuana emanating from his clothing. The suspect stated that he has some weed but no medical Marijuana card. The Sgt. seized the Marijuana and arrested and then issued the suspect a citation at the scene and released him. The suspect signed the citation and was released.  Report Number: 130076195

3:15pm       4700 Blk Mission          Agg. Assault
Officers Sullivan and Padilla responded to Mission and Russia on a report of an assault. When the officers arrived they located the victim holding a towel to the back of his head. The officers observed that the victim had an approximate two inch laceration to the back of his head, the officers summoned the medics. The victim told the officers that he left home to walk to the store and that as he approached Mission Street, a suspect, driving a Honda, yelled at the victim “Try to hit my sister!” The victim didn’t recognize the suspect and had no idea what the suspect was yelling about. The victim continued on his way to the store and as he approached the store he was hit with an unknown object on the back the head.  The victim told the officers that the suspect got back into the Honda and fled northbound Mission Street.  The officers located a witness who told them that he heard the yelling but did not see the assault. The medics arrive at the scene and transported victim the San Francisco General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Officers took pictures of his injuries for evidence and searched the area unsuccessfully for the suspect. Report Number: 130073549

4:55pm       500 Blk Ellsworth          Robbery
Officer Lockett was dispatched to 500 block of Ellsworth to investigate a robbery case. The officer interviewed the victim who told him that she had been robbed while she was walking to her cousin’s house. The victim was with her friend when she was robbed but her friend left the scene prior to officer’s arrival. The victim stated that she was in front of a house on 500 block of Ellsworth when two suspects approached her from behind. Both of the suspects were armed, one of the suspects pointed the gun at the victim and demanded her bag. The victim was in fear for her life and the suspect ripped her purse of her right arm. The suspects than fled the scene on foot with the purse going eastbound on Ogden Ave and then Southbound on Gates. A witness called the Police, and told them that he was looking out of his window, when he saw the suspects pointing the gun at the victims face. The officer searched the area for the suspects to no avail. Report Number: 130073828

6:20pm       29th /Noe St                    Robbery
Officer Lockett was on patrol when he was dispatched to investigate a robbery incident. when the officer arrived he interviewed the victim who told him that that she was sitting at the bus stop alone at 29th  and Noe when she was approached by two suspects. One of the suspects held a handgun and pointed at the victim, the victim was in fear for her life. The suspects demanded to give them everything she has or else they would harm her.  The victim gave her purse to the suspects and she was told by the suspects to walk away southbound on Noe St. The suspects then fled on foot eastbound on 29th. Officers searched the area and detained a suspect who had similar description.ths turned out not to be the suspect and was later released. Officer checked the area for video surveillance with negative results. Report Number: 130074086

Arrests:

2:11am       Unit Blk Nantucket      Assault
Officers Seavey and Padilla responded to a call of a person armed with a knife on the unit block of Nantucket Avenue. When they arrived, they were flagged down by a woman who was pointing at a male suspect who was walking away while armed with a knife. The female victim advised the officers that the suspect had stabbed her boyfriend who was up the street. The officers confronted the suspect and ordered him to drop the knife. He quickly complied and was taken into custody. It turns out that both victims were sitting at some stairs when the suspect approached them very intoxicated. The victims told the suspect to move on, which enraged the suspect. Words were exchanged and a physical altercation ensued between both males. During the altercation, the suspect produced a knife and began swinging it at the victim, slashing him several times on the face, left arm, wrist and leg. The victim had severe injuries and was transported to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment. The female victim was not injured and did not require medical attention. The suspect was transported to Ingleside Station and booked accordingly for the aggravated assault. Report Number 130068948.

2:55pm       San Jose/Theresa           Drugs
Officers Campos and Burke were on patrol driving down San Jose headed in the North bound direction approaching Theresa Avenue. This area of the road merges into one lane as it passes under the overpass. Officer Campos noticed a Blue truck that was behind them, accelerate and passed them on their left side causing the officers to swerve and out of the lane of traffic. The officers conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver. The driver told the officers that he did not realize the lanes merged. While talking to the driver, Officer Campos smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. When asked, the driver admitted to having marijuana inside the vehicle. Officer Campos searched the vehicle and in fact found a small container filled with the drug. The driver told Officer Campos that he did not have a medical marijuana card issued to him. The marijuana was seized and the driver was cited and released for the drug possession and traffic violation. Report Number 130070404

10:20pm     Geneva/San Jose           Resisting
Officers Padilla and Contreras were called out to the MUNI service yard on Geneva and San Jose Avenue regarding a subject that was threatening and harassing the MUNI employees and passengers. When they arrived they were approached by several MUNI employees who were pointing down the street. The officers made contact with the subject and noticed that he was bleeding from his face. It appeared as if he had a cut and was bleeding from his forehead down to the tip of his nose. When asked if he was alright or needed help, the suspect became agitated and began yelling at the officers. During the confrontation, the suspect put his hands inside his pockets after being told not to do so, for officer safety reasons. The suspect refused to comply kept yelling and screaming. The officers went to conduct a pat search for weapons and the suspect tensed up, throwing his body to the ground. After a brief struggle, the suspect was placed in handcuff and transported to the hospital to tend to his injury. The officers proceeded to cite the suspect for delaying and resisting. 5:30pm       900 Blk Ellsworth                   Robbery
Officers Hart and Phillips went to investigate a robbery that took place on the 900 block of Ellsworth Avenue. They met with the victim and her three year old daughter. The victim was in the area when she briefly spoke with a subject whom she recognized from the area. After having a conversation, she went home for a moment, and then came back out. As she was walking along, she saw the same subject walking towards her with another male subject. When they crossed paths, the male suspect she knew from the area, grabbed at her purse pulling he to the ground. The suspect then proceeded to kick and punch the victim numerous times and yanked on the purse again breaking the strap. Both suspects ran from the scene, while the victim and her daughter ran away in fear of being assaulted again. Officer Hart, assigned as the Housing Liaison Officer for the Alemany Housing Developments, recognized the name and knew who the suspect was as he has had numerous encounters with him in the past. Officer Fulgado went to investigate a call of an aggravated assault on the unit block of San Juan Avenue. The victim, who suffered a laceration to his left eye and swelling to both eyes, said he was home and sitting on the front stairs eating. Two suspects, who were walking up San Juan Avenue, for some unknown reason, approached him and began assaulting him. After the attack, both suspects ran off headed towards Mission Street. The victim informed the officer that he did not know who these suspects were and had never seen them before. Medics arrived on scene and took the victim to the hospital for treatmentof non-life threatening injuries. Report Number 130070852.
