10:45am               1000 Blk Munich St             Mischief
Officer Thompson was dispatched to a report of a person with a knife.  Several other officers responded to the scene.  The officers contacted the suspect and detained him pending further investigation.  The suspect did not have a knife upon the officer’s arrival.  The victim said that he got into an argument with the suspect over cleaning up after the dog.  The victim said the suspect pulled out a knife and threatened him with it.  The suspect went around the premise breaking several items.  The suspect denied having a knife but admitted to breaking the items.  The suspect was arrested for vandalism.  Report 111041535

Officer Morrow was on patrol when he spotted a vehicle without a front license plate.  The officer noticed that the passenger in the vehicle was sitting very low in his seat.  The officer conducted a records check of the vehicle and it came back stolen.  The vehicle pulled over and parked.  The passenger got out of the vehicle and went into a nearby premise.  The officer contacted the driver and advised her of the stolen vehicle.  She was also driving on a suspended license.  The officer arrested the driver.  The passenger could not be located.  Report 111041701

Officer Frisk was dispatched to a report of vandalism to a vehicle.  The victim’s vehicle had been damaged with scratch marks in the paint.  The victim had suspicions of who might have caused the damage. Report 111041284

PSA Flynn took a report regarding theft from a building.  The victim had several family members over to her residence for Christmas.  The day after they left, she discovered that there were fraudulent charges made to her checking account.  There was also jewelry stolen from her home.  Report 111043202

CPSA Callaghan took a report regarding theft from a vehicle.  The victim parked and left his vehicle secured.  Upon return, the victim found that the driver’s door lock had been damaged and several items taken from the inside of the vehicle.  Report 111041507

Officer Frisk responded to a report of vandalism.  An unknown suspect entered the property and had damaged several plants and other items, including fireplaces and handmade artwork.  Report 111039217

10:47pm               Diamond &
Officers Anderson and Ferronato were dispatched to a report of a robbery.  The victim was on his way home from work and waiting for the bus.  Three suspects approached him, and one put a knife to the victim’s stomach.  The suspect told the victim not to move while another suspect went through the victim’s pockets.  The suspect took the victim’s wallet.  The suspects then fled.  The victim sustained a minor cut to his arm.  Report 111043274

Officer Bernard responded to a report of theft.  The store’s security had already detained the suspect.  The witness told the officer that he saw the suspect place several items into a reusable shopping bag.  The suspect realized that he was being watched and tried to lose the witness within the store.  The suspect exited the store with the items, making no attempt to pay for them.  The witness detained the suspect and called the police.  The suspect was arrested for shoplifting.  Report 111039013

PSA Heckenberg-Tognozzi took a report regarding fraud.  An unknown suspect had purchased two high priced items using the victim’s Paypal account.  The victim did not authorize the purchases.  Report 111038184

10:00am       400 Blk Miramar Ave            Burglary
Sgt. Miller responded to a report of a burglary.  The victims told the officer that a suspect had broken into their car that was parked in the driveway.  The garage door opener was in the vehicle, and the suspect used this to gain entry into the garage door.  Several items were taken from inside the garage and from the vehicles parked in the garage and driveway.  One of the vehicles was also damaged.  Report 111038861

Officer Frisk was dispatched to a report of a burglary.  The doors of the premise were damaged.  A wire box was also damaged.  Report 111038673

3:00pm        Silver Ave & Lisbon               Assault
Officer Goldsborough responded to a report of an assault.  The victim exited a MUNI bus and began to walk.  The suspect exited the bus after her, and hit her in the back of the head with a wooden dowel.  The victim fell to the ground, disoriented.  The suspect attempted to take the victim’s purse and cell phone.  A passerby witnessed the incident and yelled at the suspect.  The suspect fled.  The victim lost consciousness for several minutes.  Report 111039524

PSA Flynn took a report regarding vandalism.  The victim parked and secured his vehicle, leaving it unattended.  The victim returned to his vehicle and began to drive home.  The tire pressure light on the dashboard came on, indicating something was wrong with the vehicle.  The victim pulled into a gas station and put air in his tires.  The victim continued home.  When he arrived, two of the vehicle’s tires were completely flat.  The victim realized that the tires had been slashed.  Report 111039988

Officer Lundy responded to a report of theft.  The victim and the suspect were hanging out together.  The suspect asked to borrow the victim’s phone to make a phone call.  The suspect used the phone and refused to give it back to the victim.  The suspect then left without giving the cell phone back to the victim.  Report 111040515

1:52am                5200 blk Mission                   Drug Arrest
While on patrol Officers Cassinelli and Hom noticed a man walking down the middle of the street. The Officers watched the suspect to see if he would get into a car but he never did. As the Officers approached the suspect and told him to stop but the suspect just turned away and walked faster. The Officers exited their patrol car to detain the suspect when he started running. As Officer Cassinelli grabbed the suspect he threw an object from his pocked. After safely detaining the suspect, the Officers recovered the discarded object to discover to confirm later that it was methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The suspect was arrested for drug possession and resisting arrest. Report number 111037948

While on patrol Officer Seavey witnessed two males running down the street, one appeared to be chasing the other. Officer Seavey stopped both of them and asked if they knew each other. The suspects said they did and then walked away. The Officer then witnessed one suspect throw items in the bushes along the sidewalk and then the other suspect jumped into the same bushes to recover the items. Officer Seavey then attempted to detain the suspects and one of them began to run. Because the Officer was working alone he was only able to apprehend the suspect that seemed to be the most suspicious and chose the one that was fleeing the scene. The Officer was able to detain the suspect even after the suspect showed substantial resistance. Officer Seavey was then able to locate the second suspect a few blocks away who turned out to be the victim. The victim told Officer Seavey that while they were sharing a cab the suspect stole his phone and then left the cab. While on the sidewalk the victim demanded his phone back and then the suspect pushed him to the ground and then took several other items from him. An ambulance then needed to be called for the suspect because while he was in the back seat of the patrol car he was smashing his head against the window. The suspect was arrested for robbery and resisting arrest. Report number 111035152

Six Officers from Ingleside were sent to a residence to serve a search warrant for a male suspect. The officers knocked on the door and the suspect’s wife answered. After the Officers identified themselves they entered the residence and found the suspect in the living room. Both the suspect and his wife were detained without incident the Officers continued their investigation. During the search the Officers found several baggies that they believed to contain methamphetamine, a scale, and pipes. The suspect’s wife was released and the suspect was transported to Ingleside Station. The suspect later gave a statement and admitted that he sells methamphetamine. He was then arrested for drug sales and probation violation. Report number 111036752

Officers Carrasco and Burke were dispatched to a dispute between a landlord and tenant. Upon arriving the landlord advised Officers that she had restraining orders against the tenant and provided them with the documents confirming that. After properly identifying the suspect he was arrested for violation of a court order and transported to Ingleside Station. Report number 111037045

While Officers Hauscarriague, Almaguer, and Hurwitz, were on patrol they witnessed a suspect throw trash on the ground. The suspect provided Officers with identification and dispatch performed a computer check on him. Officers then learned that there was a warrant for his arrest from Stockton, CA. The suspect was arrested and during a search the officers found a bag of marijuana in his pocket. The suspect was transported to Ingleside Station. Report number 111037534

Officers Kerlegan and Leong were dispatched to a reported auto theft. When Officers arrived on scene the victim told them his passenger seat window had been broken and a bag of clothing and several CDs were stolen. The victim found his bag of clothing 30 feet away and was told by neighbors that a group of juveniles were loitering around the car earlier. The victim was provided with a follow up form. While Officer Heckenberg-Tongnozzi was working at Ingleside Station a victim came in to report that his vehicle was broken into and some of his property was stolen. The victim could not provide the Officer with any suspects who might have committed the crime. The victim was provided with follow up information. Report number 111035760

Officers Muro and LaRocca responded to a landlord tenant dispute. After arriving on scene the tenant informed Officers that when he arrived home from a out of town trip, several boxes that his landlord allowed him to store in the garage had been put out on the street and were now empty. The landlord was not present and was not able to be reached for questioning. The victim was provided with a follow-up form. Report number 111032948

After Officer Morgante arrived on the scene of a theft call the victims informed him that the battery to their tractor had been stolen. The hood was lifted and cables had been disconnected. The master lock to the storage container where the tractor is kept was missing and the victims informed the Officer that other people that work there have keys to the container. There were no surfaces that could be dusted for fingerprints and the victims were provided with follow-up information. Report number 111036031

A landlord of a building on Edinburgh St. came into Ingleside Station to report that her previous tenant threatened to destroy her property because he has to wait so long for his deposit check. The victim also informed Flynn that the girlfriend of the suspect is scarred of him and wanted that to be documented. The Victim was provided with follow-up information. Report number 111037374

Officers Leong and Kerlegan were dispatched to a call regarding a theft at a local laundromat. After arriving the victim told Officers that while she was doing her laundry her purse was stolen. The victim witnessed several female suspects enter a vehicle parked in front of the building and drive away. The victim believed these suspects stole her purse and provided the Officers with descriptions of them. The victim was given follow-up information. Report number 111037302

Officer Duffin arrived at a residence where a victim had called police about threatening phone calls being made to her. The victim told Officer Duffin that a woman that she knows had made several phone calls and threatened to physically harm her. The victim then called a friend who assured her that the suspect does not know where she lives. The victim gave Officer Duffin descriptions of the suspect but could not provide him with her address. Officer Morgante was dispatched to a report of vehicle vandalism. The victim told Officer Morgante that while she was driving down the street her window was smashed. She did not see how it happened but was frightened so she drove home and parked in the garage and then called police. There were no projectiles found in the car and no report of gunshots in the area. 2:00am                100 blk Bennington      Auto Theft Arrest
Early Tuesday morning Officers Padilla and Benavidez were dispatched to investigate two male suspects that were reported to be breaking into a van. When the officers arrived they observed one suspect in the passenger seat and another standing just outside the passenger side door. After Officer Padilla ordered the two suspects to step away from the van one of them immediately began sprinting down Bennington in the opposite direction. Officer Benavidez detained one suspect while Officer Padilla engaged in a foot chase after the fleeing suspect. Despite the suspect having a head start, Officer Padilla was able to catch up with him and while attempting to restrain the suspect they both went to the ground where a fight broke out. During the fight four other Officers from Ingleside arrived and assisted Officer Padilla in handcuffing the very violent suspect. Due to the intensity of the chase and the struggle to restrain the suspect, three Officers and the suspect received injuries. An ambulance was called for the suspect and Officer Padilla. The second suspect was taken back to Ingleside station and in a taped interview admitted that he had stolen the vehicle and then recruited the second suspect to help him sell the items inside the vehicle. 3:11pm                100 blk Fairmount       Drug/Stolen Property Arrest
A concerned citizen called Police when they noticed a man acting suspiciously and carrying a duffel bag in and out of a residence on Fairmont St.  Officers Hurwitz, Rueca, and Elton were dispatched to the call and made contact with the witness who showed them the vehicle that the suspect put the duffle bag in. The witness did not recognize the suspect as someone who was from the area and believed that they had burglarized the residence. As the Officers were obtaining information from the witness the suspect emerged from the residence that was believed to have been burglarized and the Officers approached him. While the Officers were questioning the suspect they noticed that he was acting unusually nervous so they performed a pat search to ensure their safety. The suspect was asked to provide proof of his identification witch he said was inside the vehicle. The Officers searched the vehicle which had a very strong odor of marijuana and in plain view noticed a clear plastic bag containing marijuana. The Officers located several items witch they later learned to be stolen.  

The suspect told the Officers his father owned a home there. The Officers located the owner of the home who confirmed the suspect was his son but did not have permission to be on the property. The suspect was arrested and transported to Ingleside station. An arrest search located a clear plastic bag containing a white colored rock believed to be cocaine. The suspect was booked on conformation of a warrant and both narcotics ceased by the Officers. Sergeant Alvarez of Ingleside Special Investigation Team (SIT) took over the investigation and all evidence was booked at Ingleside station.  This is also  ****The Best Arrest of the Day**** Report number 111033877

Officer Pedersen responded to a complaint regarding fraudulent checks. The victim told Officer Pedersen that he had accepted a job and his employer immediately asked him to cash a check and send the money to another bank account. Acting in good faith the victim agreed to the transaction. However, the victim became suspicious after his employer asked him to cash another check for the same amount and repeat the process. Meanwhile the bank contacted the victim to notify him that his account had been frozen because of the previous bad check. The investigation to find the employer of the victim is pending. 3:05am               900 blk Sunnydale       Malicious Mischief
Sergeant Daniels was dispatched early Tuesday morning to inspect a residence that recently had its window broken. The victim told Officer Daniels that he was abruptly woken when he heard a loud crashing noise in his living room. When the victim entered his living room he found that the front window had been smashed and a rock was on the floor. It was unknown to the victim who would have done this because he does not have any enemies. Photographs were taken of the damaged window but no witnesses or suspects were located. Officers Walsh and Altamirano were dispatched to investigate another broken window incident. The victim of the residence told the officers that when he woke up he noticed that his living room window had been broken during the night and a screw was on the floor around the broken glass. The victim also informed the Officers that his neighbors saw a male wearing all black leaving the area early that morning. Photographs were taken of the damage however the witnesses were not available to be interviewed. Report number 111033112

While Officer Zabarte was on station duty the victim of credit card fraud came in to report the crime. The victim told Officer Zabarte that he recently noticed an outstanding charge for airplane tickets that had come from out of state. The victim called the credit card company and informed them that he had not made the purchase and he has no idea how someone got his card number because it had not been stolen. The credit card company issued him a new card and advised him to report the incident to the police. Officer Zabarte then gave the victim information on identity theft. Report number 111033253

11:35am              100 blk Bonview           Battery
Officers Wilson and Gomez were dispatched to a residence to investigate a female victim that had been assaulted by a male suspect. After interviewing the victim the Officers confirmed that the victim had been punched in the face with a closed fist by a known acquaintance during an argument. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim had only minor injuries and refused medical attention. The Officers went with the victim to where she believed the suspect lived and continued their search for the assailant. The roommate of the suspect allowed officers to search the residence but he was not found. The victim was transported back home but when Officers later tried to contact her for a statement she could not be reached. Report number 111033184

While Officer Zabarte was assigned to station duty the victim of vehicle theft came in to report the crime. The victim told Officer Zabarte that during the night his vehicle was broken into and several items were stolen. The victim could not determine how anyone could gain entrance to his vehicle because he had locked it and there was no sign of forced entry. Officer Zabarte issued the victim the proper forms and informed him of the follow-up procedures. Report number 111032857

1:50pm                5800 blk Mission          Theft
Officer Padilla was dispatched to a residence on Huron where a woman found a purse that had been discarded in front of her house. Officer Padilla inspected the purse and found checks with an address leading him to another residence. Upon arriving at the residence Officer Padilla contacted the owner of the purse and she informed him that her locked vehicle had been broken into earlier in the day while it was parked on Mission Street. She did not contact police at that time because she wanted to make an online report later. The victim showed Officer Padilla her vehicle that had a smashed rear window but there were no surfaces that could be printed successfully for fingerprints. Photos were taken of the damage and the purse was returned to the victim. Report number 111033639

Officer Hopkins and three other Ingleside Officers were dispatched to a residence where a victim reported that her rear bedroom window had been broken while she was in her living room. As the victim entered the bedroom and looked out her window she observed a male suspect walking very quickly away from her residence. The victim did not personally witness the suspect break the window but believed he was responsible because of the way he was walking. The Officers did not find any other witnesses or suspects. Officer Pedersen was dispatched to investigate vandalism. He meet with the repartee who told him that he locked and secured the premise and when he returned he noticed that the fence was damaged. He was unable to provide any further information and the Officer provided him with follow-up information. The Officer took pictures of the damages and was unable to locate any video footage in the area. Report number 111030710

Officer Goldsborough responded to the call of vandalism. He meet with the reportee  who told him that the premise was locked and secured and when he arrived for work noticed someone had gained access to the inside of the premise and vandalized it. A victim responded to Ingleside station and told Officer Peregrina that she locked and secured her vehicle and when she returned she found forced damage to her side door. She stated that several items were missing but was unable to provide any further information. Report number 111031928

A victim responded to Ingleside station and told PSA Zabarte that he locked and secured his truck and when he returned noticed the drivers’ door lock had been broken. 8:00pm                300 Blk Richland                   DUI
Officers Pereira and Archilla were dispatched to the 300 block of Richland Ave regarding an altercation over a vehicle accident. When the Officers arrived they noticed a black Saab parked in the middle of the street with damage to the front passenger side. A victim approached the Officers and told them that he witnessed a man attempting to park the Saab vehicle in front of his Honda.  The owner of the Saab was unable to put his vehicle into park and turn the engine off so the victim assisted him. The victim believed the owner of the Saab to be under the influence of alcohol and told him that he would be calling the police. While officers were on scene, several other victims approached them and informed them that the Saab had crashed into their parked vehicle down the street. The officers then tested the blood alcohol level of the suspect and found that he was over the legal limit and was arrested. Report number 111029826


2:13am                 3300 Blk Mission         Malicious Mischief
Officers Ma, Hermosura, McCall, and Lozano were dispatched to a call that several individuals were fighting and one was bleeding from his face. When they arrived on scene the Officers identified a suspect that had cuts and bumps on his face and hands. The suspect also had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and refused to explain what happened. Two victims then approached the Officers and explained that the suspect had just vandalized their vehicle by punching in the rear window with his fist. The victims agreed to sign a citizen’s arrest form and the suspect was then taken to the hospital before booking.  Report number 111028903

Officers McCall and Lozano were dispatched to a storage unit that had been broken into. The victim told Officers that the last time he was at his storage unit was about two weeks ago and it was locked and secure. However, when he arrived today the door was open and several items had been stolen. The unit did not look like it had been forced open but there was damage to the handle because it would not stay in the locked position. Because the door was made of brushed steel fingerprints could not be taken. There are video surveillance cameras at the storage area; however the manager was unavailable to view them at that time. 3:27am                700 Blk Portola            Burglary
Officers Padilla and Seavey were dispatched to investigate a burglary at a business. When they arrived on scene they immediately noticed that the front door’s glass had been smashed and the lock was broken. The search for suspects was negative. Both cash registers appeared to be pried open and were empty. The business owner arrived and informed police that there were only a few dollars stolen and nothing else seemed to be missing. The officers advised the business owner not to touch the glass or the cash register because CSI would be arriving shortly and would attempt to find fingerprints. There was no video surveillance in the area that would help with the investigation. Report number 111028975

Officer Pai was dispatched to investigate the scene of a possible stabbing. The victim was already being transported to San Francisco General Hospital when Officer Pai arrived. Officer Pai continued the investigation and found a small pool of blood on the ground but no other evidence of any crime. Officer Pai then went to San Francisco General where the nurse told him that the victim’s wounds were not life threatening and he could be interviewed. The victim told officers that he was alone when three suspects confronted him and one of them stabbed him. He could not recall all the details or remember what the suspects looked like because he had consumed several alcoholic beverages earlier at a friend’s house. After he was stabbed, he fled the area but was unsure how he ended up at the bus shelter.  Report number 111029042

Officers Hermosura and Contreras responded to a complaint call where a Spanish speaking woman claimed to be assaulted. She told police that she heard a knock at the door and when she answered it an unknown male punched her in the right eye and then fled from the scene. Because it happened so quickly, she told police that she would not be able to identify the suspect if she saw him again. She told the Officers that her vision was getting blurry so they summoned an ambulance and she was transported to San Francisco General Hospital. Report number 111030061
